    I really thought you was going to say you preferred tig welding because it doesn’t introduce mild steel into the billet (without grinding it off). And then you used filler rod 🤣. Nothing wrong with it of course. Just didn’t expect it.

      I use filler rod because in my experience just fusing high carbon steel tends to crack during forge welding so i don’t take that chance anymore, ever since then I’ve never lost a billet
