Just wanted to say how much I appreciate you going into detail for this! I just recently found notion and was literally screaming in happiness when I realized I could have all my inspiration for my art project in one place. I found a lot of videos for using notion for daily life or for RUclips creator content, but not a lot for just inspiration databank stuff. I'm really eager to find time when I can sit down and set it all up! Hope you have a great day and I look forward to more content! :D
Really glad that it was helpful! If you'd like a tip about making time to set it up, I suggest just doing it when you need it such as preparing for your project where collecting inspiration is part of it OR Creating a page for you to pop in those images so you can already get started in collecting inspo when you're scrolling through daily. Let. me know how it goes. I'd love to know how it turns out!
@@skybluejenny I found out about notion just before attending a convention I was selling prints at, so I was using it to take down requests that people would like to see me draw next! I plan to spend some time organizing it through the week by using the system you detailed here! I'm so excited to get started...! But first, sleep haha
@@skybluejenny hi Jenny! it's been great so far! the system has been working well, and I've linked my main list of ideas to work with the dashboard I set up for all my art projects, so I can see which ones are active and which ones I wanted to get started with. keeping track of everything is so much easier now!
Thanks for the quick explanation! It's my first time trying a mood board, so I'll try the easy version for now. :) Also appreciate that you mention saving the sources as well! 🙏
Oh yes! I found that Mood Boards are just images you collect with very real intention. How did the easy version go for you? I'd love to know if you find it useful to look back on even when the project is wrapped!
@@skybluejenny It's been going great! The hardest part is definitely finding material, as with Notion it's not just thrown my way, as it might be on Pinterest or other sites. I do appreciate the control Notion gives me though and I'm having fun with using different layouts, making things take up one or two columns or maybe even include a video here or there.
@@Fruitsniffer That's great that you feel like Notion gives you control! I also think that because Notion just doesn't feed you content, everything you ADD to your boards are things you add intentionally. As someone who has been collecting content in Notion for YEARS, it can even be beneficial to revisit and curate some things. It's also because tastes change, you grow, and your system will be more focused and beautiful when you do it!
I´m starting with notion, i can tell you know A LOT! (for me at least) but you are way to fast to explaine things, perhaps it´s for advanced users. I will definetely check your video later with more knowledge of the platform. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Since it sounds like you're just starting out, which part of the process needs to be slowed down a little more for you? Sometimes when sharing how to do a process its typically with my clients in mind because I've worked with them directly and they share what they're current knowledge of Notion is.

How has implementation and organization gone?
