Very well done. Most of the leaders and priests of the other Eastern orthodox churches disapprove of this man. If he is not careful, he could easily find himself out and the Russian Orthodox Church in trouble. Many of the ROC in Ukraine are thinking of leaving now. Many priests inside Russia are beginning to oppose him openly. Russia could find itself ripping apart religiously which would have dire consequences for Russia.
As for Rasputin, well, being a historian and former history teacher/professor, he was always a favorite figure for me lol. he nearly started a revolution even earlier. The nobles wanted him gone and he, in part, contributed to the collapse of the Russian army during WW1. When he was murdered it was a legend in itself. Rasputin was invited to a private dinner party where he was poisoned. The other men left the room after he collapsed but when they returned, he was awake and eating and drinking more- all poisoned. He was somewhat groggy so they strangled and beat him. But when they again returned to the room he was awake and still alive. They then shot him, tied him up and carried him out to the river where they chopped a hole in the ice, threw him in and left. Later when his body was recovered. He had broken free, his nails were supposedly broken where he had been trying to break through the ice and he had water in his lungs. He had drowned.
None of this is 100% accurate but it is one of the more popular accounts of his death. Rasputin's daughter who escaped Russia, and worked as a lion tamer (yes this is true lol), said he died of a bullet to the brain. However he died, it took a lot to bring him down and it is going to take a lot to bring down Kirill and Putin and their murderous supporters. Just pray it can be done without Putin and Kirill trying to burn the world in a nuclear holocaust.

I can't remember documentaries I watched prior to Frebruary 24th 2022 mentioning the cigarettes story (reportedly worth $1'500 million) or Kyrill as a former KGB agent. Are these elements relatively new? Have they been downplayed (so far) for diplomatic/sensibility/political reasons by Western opinion makers (e.g. media corporations) perhaps?
The Russian invasion of Ukraine and Kyrill's support for the war certainly brought new motivation to examine Kyrill's biography... find new dirt... sometimes also invent or exaggerate the dirt to sell a new book.
Doing the work of a demon while being dressed like a saint? No precedent for such a travesty. Or perhaps just one or two. Marx's proverbial opium, allure of the shiny is designed to prevail. For the grand delusion serving the elites, since a small sect conquered Europe and later the Americas. Politically prevail. Faith must overcome the eyes seeing clear travesty, to restore the golden aura. Richest are the few, who tell the masses that only those who close their eyes and believe are truely rich - afterlife drowning in gold? Imaginary entities called and implored are imaginary entities that are free to come and pay. The Gods see everything.

    • @douglasblowe805
      @douglasblowe805 2 года назад

@Gaelileo Yes and no. I hate any religion that says one thing and acts counter to their own so-called beliefs. Remember also if The Russian Orthodox Church keeps putting it's weight behind this war, more people than already do will begin to see it as a holy war. More blood has been spilled in the name of religion than any other cause. Religious wars are also the ugliest because those believing in their 'holy cause' literally lose their humanity. It becomes a war to the death of one side or the other.
During the Thirty Years War in Europe, it was Catholics vs Protestants. Both sides used the battle-cry - "kill them all, God will know his own". They used it when each side would move into an area controlled by the other. They would slaughter everyone there including members of their own faith. Look at Northern Ireland- Catholics and Protestant's slaughtering each other. Move to the Crusades, the wars between Suni and Shia sects of Islam. It goes on because any kind of atrocity can be 'justified' in the name of one's version off God.
Sorry, I taught History in public school and college- war and especially how religion and war mix are specialties of mine

Didn't you know that Hunter Biden financed the 30 bio-labs just like the Wuhan lab where the "covid-19" was produced, with the same purposes? Russia is a christian nation, it is not communist and they are as worthy as everybody else to live their religion? You see in the West, the usa has had their witches and warlocks "counseling" some presidents, as well as the evangelicals. The usa and the americans are not "the best, the chosen to govern the world". They have done so through evil means, and the government is filled with satanists. In 60 AD Apostle Saint Andrew traveled to the area of Kiev, preached, and said, one day a great city would be built here with many churches to the glory of God. Today there is a church to Saint Andrew in Kiev. The peoples in the area were Slavic. Kyi, Shchek and Khoryv, three brothers and the sister Lybid founded Kiev in 482 AD, Kiev was named after the older brother Kyi. Kiev the older brother was King. Herodotus wrote that Hercules had founded this land. The Rus were Viking tribes that settled peacefully in Kiev as far back as 750 AD with the Slavs there, 400 years before Moskva existed. The name Russia, coming from the city Moskva, has no connection to the RUS. Russia coming from Moskva started with Batu Kahn much later as a vasal under Mongolian rule. All the early Czars were Mongolian and of no connection to the RUS. The Rus were with the Slavs to the south in Kiev. Moskva were Finnish Urgic Tribes; Mosk means cow and Va water, which are Finnish names. There was no RUS there. The ethnic background of Moskva is Finnish-Urgic and Mongolian. The Rus developed the religion, city Kiev, alphabet, churches, and had its saints. The founder of Kievian Rus (800) or the Rus was a Viking named Askold or Oskold (Norse) from Sweden; not Oleg as in the Russian story. Kievian Rus exists long Before Novgorod and Oleg’s arrival there. Askold is the Slavic name. Oskold, the first King of Kievian Rus was in Kiev before Oleg in Novgorod. Oskold had 200 ships and 20,000 warriors. Oskold was baptized in Constantinople (128 years before Volodymyr) and sent the first bishop back to Kiev. Oskold and Dir were the first Dynasty of Kievian Rus. Askold rules from the 40-60s and Dir to the 80s. Askold is buried in Kiev and the first Kievian Christian King & Dynasty. Oleg followed coming from Sweden through Novgorod and was a pagan. Russia as named today started in the city of Moskva over 400 years later after Kievian Rus or Rus. From Kiev, the capitol of Rus, Kievian culture was spread, much like the Greeks Hellenized the known world, or like the British anglicized the world by the English language. This process does not make Moskva to become RUS in as much as Persian are not Greek. How we are misled by a name; Russia. The capitol of the RUS has always been Kiev. There is no other RUS and no RUS in Moskva. Many say Ukraine began recently; but the culture of the RUS is Kievian RUS, both culture and ethnic background. Ukraine is a name given by Poland meaning outer lands. The land of the RUS before the Mongolian invasion was very large. The name RUS is a Norse name which means men that row; there are no men that row in Moskva. So Moskva adopted the name Russia while being a Mongolian vassal, essentially traitor to the RUS; and all the Czars were Mongolian-Finnish. The Culture of the Mongolian was centralized power, and that cultural imprint was passed on to present day Russia. Ukraine’s real name should be Kievian RUS, or Kievskarus! Russia began in Moskva by Batu Kahn and Novgorod conquered much later, still no connection to the Rus. Putin & Lavrov should be ashamed of themselves, the USSR was an occupation; it never had the status of a sovereign state and due process of law that would be associated with a free society. Even today the mentality of the gulag exists. There is no freedom of press and speech, people are arrested for speech, there is no due process of law, and the religion is state run making it a totalitarian theocracy. As such, it did not deserve to exist in a free world; and history has shown such totalitarian organizations fail over time and author in many gulags. The true culture of Russia is Finno-Ugric and Mongolian, having nothing to do with the RUS (Kievian), expect borrowed as in the sense of Hellenized or Anglicized "forms" as a comparative reference. The centralized form of Russian politics is a very Mongolian imprint on culture. The actions of Putin seem to be another Mongolian invasion of Kiev; here I suggest as to the correct metaphor. I believe so. Putin & Lavrov insistence to have purview over eastern Europe also seems like paying tribute to the Mongolian Horde. Moskva started as an agglomeration of Finnish tribes, combining a Finnish name meaning cows water and developed by Mongolian culture. Mosk means cow and Va means water. The RUS are men that row, Vikings, Norse, established Kiev 400 years before (750 AD) Moskva even thought to exist. The name Russia for current nation is totally inappropriate. The current Russia started in Moskva; how misleading is the name Russia coming from Moskva that has no connection to the RUS. All the lands should be returned to Kiev; the West of Russia to Finland, and the East to Mongolia. Russia’s place on the globe appears as a temporary aberration in my view. To use threats of Nukes publicly strikes at the heart as adolescent behaviour; surely any nation or person that issues such threats and being an ally to such while not even having war imposed on them is not fit to rule. This would include allies of Russia. Oh yes, I remember, Russia didn't invent the bomb, they stole it in the 1940's and gave it to Kurchatov. Russia struggles with an identity crisis since its beginnings unoriginal to the ethnic groups. Its errors are numerous, 50 million killed by Stalin in WW2, allied to the Nazis to kill the Poles for their defeat in WW2, Holodomor where millions of Ukrainians were killed and grain stolen, and constant antagonist with Europe. We even have the Holy Mother announcing Russia’s errors at Fatima. Russia is a Mongolian culture and all the first Czars were Mongolian and Batu Kahn is the author. Oskold was the grandson of Ragnar the king of Sweden, his name is old Norse and spoke old Norse, the name Rus is old Norse, he settled peacefully in Kiev and the Slavs made him king, he brought Christianity to Kiev with his son dir...his burial mound is where St Nicholas church is built, Oleg wasn’t even in Novgorod when this happened, and Oleg is not a Rus nor old Norse name. The Slavs called Oskold the name Askold. After came Dir, Oleg was a pagan who assassinated Dir, Oskold becomes the first dynasty...later when the line of kings get to Vladimir, he is captured at a trading post by the Mongols, the post is called Moskva, and the king killed. Moskva as a city was a Mongolian invention, and Novgorod becomes a part of that Russia by conquest, although having nothing to do with the Rus. Oskold line is Ragnar, ironside, Oskold from the King of Sweden Ragnar. Oleg is via Rurik coming much later. The accounts of Oskold are within the time, Al Mamun an Arab writer of the time wrote of Oskold, the Russian chronicles come hundreds of years later. In much the same way accounts of relevant history are better understood by those of the times, much like the Bible, dating to the original times makes the account authentic. The Russian chronicles are merely a tale and inaccurate. Kiev was a city over 1000 years before Russia even existed. Kiev was Kievian Rus before Novgorod and when Oleg arrived. Putin is kidding himself if he thinks any part of Ukraine belongs to Russia. We can see that Israel belongs to the Jews, similarly all the lands around Kiev of Kievian Rus belong to Kiev as a single nation and city state. Russia's beginnings are a wanting child begun as a captive insurgency having nothing of its own; a captive state that was reeking in servitude to Mongolia and invented by Mongolia. The entire culture of Russia from Moscow is Mongolian centralized power, a pagan culture of no empathy and Christianity. The Christianity is tainted as a state religion or theocracy and politicized. History is often obscured by being written by the ones in charge. The history of Ukraine has been obscured by the Soviet Occupation and cultural appropriations. Moscow in an attempt to appropriate a history not its own, rewrote the narrative of history to cover up its compromised origins; Kiev and Ukraine is a history much older and more civilized; making contributions to civilization. Russian despotism becomes the blueprint, foundation & model for every despot nation, look at its allies; the error of its ways has spread throughout the globe; much like the message from the Holy Mother at Fatima. Those that are sympathetic to Russian atrocities can find similarities in their own histories. Ukraine has a democracy at a local level Moscow never had and fears. Russian boundless ignorance is a type often found in the poorest of nations, and usually the poorest have a history of the hardest tyrants over them that also inflict poverty, physical and spiritual, on others they attempt to subjugate, a reflection of their own lives, an abomination of desolation.

Dehumanization is the denial of full humanness in others and the cruelty and suffering that accompanies it. A practical definition refers to it as the viewing and treatment of other persons as though they lack the mental capacities that are commonly attributed to human beings. In this definition, every act or thought that regards a person as "less than" human is dehumanization.
Dehumanization is one technique in incitement to genocide.[6] It has also been used to justify war, judicial and extrajudicial killing, slavery, the confiscation of property, denial of suffrage and other rights, and to attack enemies or political opponents.

You may have called both men "Gurus", but there is a big difference between Rasputin and Patriarch Kirill. Rasputin had genuine psychic and spiritual powers, whereas Kirill is just a corrupt clergyman who has ridden on Putin's coat tails to a position of political power and influence. The Russians tried to outlaw and ban religion during the Soviet era, and when that didn't work, they took the position of "if you can't beat them, join them" during the Putin era, with religion being used as a great propaganda tool of the state.

    • @BertGraef

The Russians did not "outlaw" their own national religion during the soviet era. The Bolsheviks were mainly led by antichristian forces exposed by Solzhenitysn in his last book he wrote before he died. The sinister nature of antichristian communist bolshevism and who led and funded it is common knowledge in Russia. Read his censored book, "200 years together", to understand the real story behind antichristian Communism and its takeover of Russia and subsequent attempts to take over the entire world.

Kirill promotes the world and his own self interest not the god he claims he believes in. He is very much like the so called “evangelicals” in the US like Robertson, Franklin, Graham, Warren, etc.; all of them are wolves in sheep’s clothing. God hasn’t time for phonies or fakes (nor do I, and so they and their evil remains rebuked); obviously because he sent a savior to promote loving your neighbor as yourself, bringing peace to the world through selflessness and understanding, taking care of the least of these…. None of which the wolves in the “evangelical” pseudo Christian movement do (they are all as ravenous swine as Falwell - Sr AND Jr). They promote their politics and their power. Quite a few decades ago, “The Reader’s Digest” had published an article on Rasputin, which included the description of the assassination attempt by a group of nobles. They had invited Rasputin to a party where he was served cakes dosed with Strychnine. When six cakes had no effect on him (even one had had enough poison to kill a man), they decided to shoot him to death with their pistols. Rasputin fell, but apparently did not die by the bullets. He had strength enough to crawl away. When his body was found, an autopsy revealed that he had died of drowning (while attempting to cross a stream when escaping). If a parallel dialectic does exist between President Putin and Patriarch Kirill, it may be best to leave the archbishop well alone😆

It is understandable that the great majority of Latvians would oppose recognizing Russian as an official language. After the USSR illegally invaded and annexed the three Baltic states, the Communists rounded up many thousands of influential Baltic personages including newspaper editors, educators, labor and political leaders, and clergy and sent them off to Siberia. Very few of them ever returned. At the same time, Moscow sent many loyal ethnic Russians to settle in the Baltic states. The plan was to communize and start Russifying these three unfortunate countries. The ethnic Russians formed a kind of new elite and many of them never even bothered to learn the local language. With the fall of communism, Lithuania was the first Soviet Republic to leave and was soon followed by Latvia and Estonia. The ethnic Russians who remain have lost their privedged status and I strongly suspect many Baltic people wish they would leave. Why on earth would the Latvians want to support in their own country a language and ethnicity forced upon them? Patriarch Kirill's words and behavior are shameful and deserve condemnation. Notice also that neither Putin nor the Patriarch have oppologized for the past murders and oppression in the Baltic states. It is their desire to bully their neighbors so they can throw their considerable weight around and gain more power as Russia continues to fail economically and fall toward authoritarianism.

The World’s Moral And Practical Obligation To Ukraine
In Ukraine, there is both a moral and practical obligation, which transcends the fact of there being no formal obligation from NATO or the EU.
As we know from history, formal obligations crumble in the face of reality when dealing with someone like Putin. I am not complaining so much as I am cautioning the entire world that if it is not willing to nip in the bud the actions of Putin now, we will most certainly be compelled to confront him later. And the effects of that will probably be much worse than the risk of starting a third world war now.
A world that bows to the will of a bully and dictator today, will either become a virtual pawn of that bully and dictator or be forced to fight him later. As we saw with Hitler, because the world was not willing to confront him early on, the ultimate conflagration that resulted was much worse than it might otherwise have been.
Just as a free individual cannot long endure the abuse and domination of a bullying neighbor, so too, the free nations of the world cannot long endure the abuse and dominance of a bully and dictator among them.
Of course, the possibility of nuclear war is paralyzing, and the present fear of that happening is what gives Putin his ultimate edge. He knows this and wants the world to think he might be crazy enough to use nuclear weapons. We need to call his bluff by letting him know that we will even risk nuclear war to save freedom and democracy in the world.
The world not only allowed Putin to exist but did business with him. Now humanity must pay the karmic price for its complicity. And that price may be a third world war, which might even mean nuclear war.
This is a horrifying thought, but reality does not care what is horrifying to humanity. The world we create and the results of that creation are as they are. If we cater to autocrats, we will have to live with autocracy as the way of the world - or we can stop allowing autocrats to evolve and exist in the world.
At the moment, Ukraine is the center of our universe. It is the focal point and pivot point for our future. What we decide to do there will determine the direction we will take to that future and what that future will be. Will it be a world where freedom and democracy become the way of the world for all humankind, or will it be a world where the dream of freedom and democracy is dead, and slavery and autocracy rule?

    A former KGB member
For the first time in history, a high religious leader is being questioned by the European Union. While the conflict in Ukraine continues, the European Commission proposed last week to sanction 58 personalities involved in this war, including the Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill. Is he an oligarch like the others? For Bernard Lecomte, a journalist specialising in the Vatican and Eastern Europe, "the religious leader Patriarch Kirill is very close to Vladimir Putin. It’s pretty clear that he took advantage of that as well. He did business. This man is not only a religious leader, he is a KGB elder, he is a former civil servant and today he is also in charge of his affairs. He has a cottage in Switzerland and he has all the characteristics of anyone who takes advantage of the scheme. Let us not compare it with the other oligarchs but let us take it for what it is".
    The propaganda of Patriarch Kirill
According to the European Union Etienne, Kirill is "one of the main supporters of Russian military aggression against Ukraine". Since 2009, Kirill has been the political-religious cover of the Kremlin. He does not hesitate to bless weapons and missiles, he supports the repression of the opposition and independent media. Like Vladimir Putin, he sees Ukraine and Belarus as "brother" countries that should have remained Russian... Today Kirill multiplies statements of support for the Russian offensive in Ukraine. For him the detractors of Russian ambitions are "forces of evil".
"Patriarch Kirill goes so far as to bless the Russian invasion troops in Ukraine. It seems logical to ban it on the territory of the European Union and to designate it as one of the co-responsible for this dramatic war that has already caused tens of thousands of deaths. He is not only someone who provides religious covers to President Putin’s imperial ideology. He goes so far as to say untruths. On May 3, during a sermon at the Kremlin, he explained that Russia never attacked anyone. This is propaganda," explains Antoine Arjakovsky, historian and director emeritus of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies in Lviv.
    The divided Orthodox Church
A position that nevertheless divides within the Russian Orthodox Church. This is one of the fundamental stakes of the conflict in Ukraine. Orthodox faithful to the Moscow Patriarchate represented 40% of Orthodox in Ukraine.

Never touch Moldavia 🇲🇩 !!! Over-wise us as Romanian will we fight for defend !
In the history it was our land but we never think to invade, we speak the same language, we share many stuff !
In eastern Romania 🇷🇴 is a region called Moldavia, the same like the country , separated by the river Prut … and also Transnistria is part of our land !
As a Romanian I always see the Moldavians as brother’s , they have without any charges Romanian passport too , EU citizens, is a law about this, all the Moldavian citizens who want also the Romanian passport can have it , as we are real blood 🩸 …
We never think to “ invade” Moldavia 🇲🇩 , we respect them and their choices !

this definitely appears to be an improvment over their Finnish Nato coverage where they simply get the history of Soviet Finnish power structure wrong and they should edit and fix that and tell their audience that they got it wrong, that the Soviets did not control/rule Finland for most of WWII.

This entire report uses key words, words of strategic importance to describe Russian Ortodox Chirch and it's spiritual leadership in negative light.
This report is placing Russian Orthodox Chirch in line of scismatic churches or sects outside Roman Catholic Church and Anglican Chirch domain.
War ,conflict, crisis in Ukraine, call it what you will,it's open season on Orthodoxy.
    Russian Orthodoxy in particular.
Arrogance and ignorance of attatudes towards what Russian Orthodox Chirch is representing is astounding.
And at the same time not surprising.
Russia and Russian people are facing same challenges from hundred years ago.
Powerful lobby of greed and warmongering.

Rasputin didn't claim to heal Alexi's haemophilia he was just able to stop the bleeding. He wasn't shot dead by the princes either, they gave him the cyanide. It was a British agent who finished him off with a shot to the head.

The was an article in the Reader's Digest long ago , 50 years or more ago, by a Russian who claimed to have been one of the killers. he claimed they fed him cakes laced with one deadly poison, wine laced with another, food laced with a third, enough cyanide alone to "kill 50 men". (And no, strychnine or wolfbane or arsenic would not counteract cyanide) after all that poison he was still alive and frisky. So someone got frustrated and shot him a few times with a .44 Special service revolver. They threw his body down the steps, and later on herd something crashing around down there. Went down to check on him and he was up and staggering around and tried to strangle the first nobleman he saw. So they split is skull with and ax and threw his corpse in the river. it was till twitching when the police pulled it out the next day -the man said. could be a Russia Paul Bunyan story, who knows.
