I do not have 7CM2, but by my understanding that 7CM2 also is a quite new camera which was launched about only one year ago, it has AI auto focus function, therefore, if you use a Sony LA-EA5 adapter, yes, you should be able to use this Minolta 200/2.8APO onto 7CM2 with good AI focus function. I do not have 2X converter, but tried using 1.4X converter between A7R5 and Minolta 200/2.8APO, failed. The 1.4X converter only works well for this lens on A850. 美能达螺丝刀镜头是不用担心自动对焦歇菜的。因为大部分的对焦组件还是机械传动，没有对焦驱动马达。只有自动对焦的控制集成电路有一定的歇菜可能。这也只是理论上的可能，实际上比例一定很低。现代镜头和老镜头在成像上不单单是中心略胜一筹。边缘成像，渐晕，对焦速度，整体重量，增距镜和其他附件的拓展性方面都有全面的优势。在视频拍摄方面也是不可同日而语。当然这些都不能掩盖美能达镜头的高性价比，对于纯照片拍摄的业余爱好者是个不错的入门选择。至于增距镜方面可以用腾龙和肯高的某些特定型号匹配使用。自动对焦是可以在EA5转接环下实现的。画质和美能达的APO增距镜有10%左右的损失，但是好过没有得用。
