If you’re looking for more industrial/mixed use inspo, have a look around the area Everton are building the new stadium, there’s a massive shipping port and loads of old industry and the stadium has basically been dropped in the middle with the skyline in the background the other way.

Don’t worry about the pace, it’s going great. Love to see you put in lots of detail work, no need to rush. Each episode doesn’t need to be a massive build, happy to see you spend more than one episode working on the same area.

You can remove the pathways you create to control zoning after the buildings have grown in and the zoning configuration will remain unlike in C:S1.... so when your done just delete the paths and you'll have extra zoning along with the zoning you "force-created"

Like others have said, don't worry too much about the pace. I am loving this series and also how you are working on a vanilla series (no mods and props placement).
For me the pace has been perfect and I am really loving how Egginburgh is developing so far. You don't have to limit yourself to 8 or 10 episodes just do them until you feel a city or town feels complete to you and then move on to next one.

Thank goodness for content creators like yourself who are blazing the trail for cities skylines 2. It looks like it’s going to be fun. I can’t bring myself to dive into it yet. The first game has so many assets and options to it that this one still has yet to match. But the basis of recreating the user interface to suit the player is exciting and I’m very excited to see where at all goes from here.

Egg, 3 percent grade for rail was a rough estimate based off the size compression from CS1 (irl 1% grade is steep for loaded freight). 12 degree curve is bordering on tight.
The only real issue with the rail is not having a lead as the only connection to the yard on each end and using ladder tracks to get to the individual connections. Railroads do this because they are taxed for each main line switch and will usually try to use as few as they can.
The Alton & Southern Railway yard in East St Louis is a good example of a yard with the tight S curves on both ends (it also laid out as a big oval which is a bit different).

Notice from the Train Police: Rail hierarchy should treat the double-track mainline as an arterial but you are treating it as a collector. The single track lines should merge prior to connecting to the mains, or maybe merge to a slip siding that then connects to the mainline. Otherwise, the port looks good.

CS2 needs mod's so so bad. I have installed a few of the bootleg mod's from Thunder's website and from just those few simple mod's it has made CS2 that much more better to play. I can only imagine what it's going to be like when the pro-modders starts to develop some of the mod's like we have in CS1. The game is only going to get better as time goes by as long as Colossal doesn't keep dragging their feet on releasing the mod editor. Plus all those wonderful assets are going to be so awesome. So egg man if you have any influence please ask them to make it sooner rather than later. Thank you...great video...💯👍

You should really switch off "natural disasters" since the only stuff is nonsensical tornados of the super twister variety with a bit of forest fire occasionally. Looking nice but surprised you crossed the river with the rail straight into what looks like a very steep hill (for rail at least) as opposed to heading up the valley... curious to see how you handle it. The curve of the bridge is very redolent of the Tay Bridge at Dundee though.

I agree with him that smoke stacks on every building is not very realistic and the smaller lots looks better. However they should indeed increase the max zoning size we can use and make larger models. That said this is also achievable by combining smaller lots with parking, roads and trees/bushes.
