    Man, I have genotype 3 as well. I am 31 and have had it since 23. I have moderate Fibrosis. My viral load was 18,400,000 (whatever widgets they are measured in). I thank God. I feel like I got this Mavyret at the 11th hour. I'm having some weird side effects. I'm getting these heat/numbing waves in my face and pelvic region. I'm pretty exhausted and my eye floaters are going nuts. But, right now I really don't care. I'm just grateful. Thanks for sharing your experience. It means everything.

    Im 16 1/2 yrs clean, and I was not aware of a cure until about a year ago, Then I started researching the cure, and I was finally approved for “Mavyret”. I have type 1A, and Ive had HCV for 19-20 years, with no liver damage at all, I was really blessed with that one. But I just started today, and I’m excited. Once im cured i wanna get back in the gym, and get back in shape. Thanks for the upload.

      I’m curious how it worked out for you. I am 33 and just got clean but was still able to get it. It’s a lot to take on at once because I’ve had it since 18 and been using since 16. Life has went so fast. I want to go to the gym and take care of myself too. It’s amazing what our bodies can handle. It surprised me that my organs are still ok after the amount of drugs I have done over time. I’m starting MAVYRET tomorrow and hopefully I don’t have any side effects but if I do I’ll keep pushing because I’ve felt negative about myself for a long time because I have hepatitis C. It made me feel different so I avoided dating or anything for the last decade. Not only that but because I used i didn’t want to bring anybody else down.

    • @TheStudderman
      @TheStudderman 5 месяцев назад

      @@koreyvalentine4234 Hello, I hope your treatment goes well. Im doing great myself, the treatment worked, and the virus is no longer detected. I changed a lot of bad eating habits after finding out that our livers take 6 months to 3 years to fully recover from the HCV. I was very blessed not to have sorosis.
      I wanna give you a kind piece of advice. You’re gonna be just fine if you follow one rule.
      Always do the right thing for the right reasons and good things will happen by themselves, I promise. Ive lived by that rule ever since getting clean, and now I can attest to that.
      I know sometimes life can really feel overwhelming, or can get you down, just take it day by day, or at least meal to meal. It will get better, also, surround yourself with people that want good for you.
      Sobriety isn’t easy, but it’s not impossible. You have to want it, and once the hard part is over, the rest is down hill.
      I hope things work out for you.

    I'm here in Seattle, and my methadone program got me onto the 60-day Mavyret regimen as soon as I had a blood work up done. I'd tested positive for Hep-C since 1997, and I was scared. But I was heroin addicted and in '97, I think all they had was Interferon, which DID have serious side effects. I'm into my 2nd week now with Mavyret and have experienced zero side effects. I'm very, very relieved and grateful to have this opportunity. 🙏

      Congrats man! I found out I had Hep C around 2017, but I suspect I contracted it around 2007 give or take a few years. Honestly I continued my constant drug use until I was 30 when I met my wife in 2017. Around that time I went to the free Clinic in South carolina and got blood work done, discovering also that I had Genotype 3, which is generally only contracted by intravenus drug users and has the highest death toll of all genotypes. Luckily Mavyret had recently begun trials as a breakthrough cure for this type of hepatitis, and I was healthy enough to join the trial which was a mirical with my stupid rampant drug use. I thank God every day that my wife made me seek help at the free clinic...I would have just died thinking I had no choice due to the supposed expense of the cure! welcome to the cured club Kevin! I’m on day 9 and I haven’t had really any side effects but one good thing is I can’t finally eat! I could go for days and not want to eat, I was always so tired, and it just hit me out of the blue one day! I got tested and that really hurt!!! I thought I was going to die and not be able to see my grand daughters graduate, get married, and I’d miss all their very important mile stones! I’m geno type 1 with 0 scar tissue and that’s AMAZING! I was sooo thankful to God and just started to pray and praise Him🙌🏼♥️💕🥰🧎🏻‍♀️ I had exploratory surgery when I was 13 and that was in 82, so they told me that many people had contracted hep C from that time period. How do you feel now and how long did it take for you to get your energy back? I got vaccinated for HepB and still have 2 more to go but the Dr told me that my case wasn’t bad like some. When you had it, did you all of a sudden just feel bad and nothing was interesting anymore to you? I just wanted to lay in bed all day and not do a thing! I have to care for my husband and he’s a stage 5 chronic kidney disease patient and I think he’s put dialysis off for so long now that his outlook is bad. I’m a mess y’all!! I was a widow at the age of 35 and lost my true soul mate and now have been married to this wonderful man for 14yrs and he’s not well. Cancer hit him twice within 6 years and he beat it but it damaged his kidneys. I’m trying so hard with prayer and the good Lord with me to get better so that I can try to help my husband. I guess I’m just wondering how long will it be before I feel like I did before I got this? I’m sorry this is so long. Please forgive me. I’m just an old fashioned Carolina grandma trying to feel better. Losing my 25 yr old son 8 yrs ago near Mother’s Day shook me to my core! Not long after that I started to wither away and then Bam!! I found this out! Praise God for the resources for the low income like myself because otherwise, my outlook would be bleak. Much love to you both and you are both beautiful souls that I’m so blessed to have found. You’ll be fine….hep c can sometimes(in rare circumstances) be transmitted sexually. It’s rare but it happens. You can also get hep c from fecal matter because it contains blood…so a lot of plumbers have it and don’t know it. You can get it from tattoo needles too. If both partners are bleeding or the male partner ejaculates blood traces which happens to ALL men sometimes, you can get it through sex. Just food for thought.
