68'-69' have best looking front ends
I own a '68 Elkie. It's an awesome driver. While it's got an old Sequoia Green paint job from the '90s, and showing areas of wear, it still shines bright, looks respectable, and is 95% steel (I checked w a thin magnet). Still has the original buckets with the original center console. Very cool option! Looking into dropping an era-correct 327 in it, marrying it to its existing TH400, and dumping its 1979 pee-pee 305 Camaro motor. Someday I'll sell the Elkie, and having a 327 will bring an additional $5K...plus there's the FUN in the meantime!!
Great for road trips with Dr Hook’s “Sharing the night together”... on the radio ...
Nice Camino!! Body looks really good and door and fender gaps look great. There are some little nicks and some paint flaws, but it's a driver like most are. A great ride for anyone, and of course a screaming good deal at Maple Motors 👍

@@Vultor When did they start making the 307.. Sounds like this might not be the original engine...
@@garyjones2582 307 came on board about 1968. After looking at it I 'm sure the engine has been replaced. Possibly a 350. That AC compressor with nothing inside or outside for AC is a dead giveaway. Doesn't make the car any less nice though.
@@Vultor I Google it up and you're correct, they started making the 307 in 68..
I was getting it confused with the 305 which didn't come out til around 73...
@@garyjones2582 // 1968. My first car was a plain-jane '68 Chevelle Malibu with a 307-cid/2-spd. Poweglide A/T that I quickly yanked in favor of a 400-cid/TH350 A/T out of a '70 Caprice parts car, then added a Wei and dual-plane aluminum intake, Rochester Q-Jet 4-bbl carb, Comp Cams 286 hydraulic cam, Rhoads hydraulic lifters, headers, and dual exhaust through turbo mufflers (rather than "glass packs"). Torquey SOB. Even with the factory stock 3.08:1 rear gears (10-bolt open rear), I could break the rear meats loose at will from a standstill. 😄👍✌🇺🇸
