Hi Joe! I'm italian, hope you're having an amazing holiday!! xxx The face-shaped magnets are "teste di moro" and there's a myth about them: The legend tells that, about a thousand years ago, when Sicily was under Arab rule, a young Moor fell in love with a woman from Palermo. It was love at first sight, in fact, seeing her once was enough for him to fall madly in love with her and decide to declare his love for her. The young woman, who used to spend a lot of time at home and loved to take care of her aromatic plants on her balcony, eagerly returned the young dark's attention. After a short time, however, when the girl realized that her lover would soon return to Arabia, where a wife was already waiting for him, blinded by jealousy and mad at the idea that the young man could no longer be completely hers, she killed him and he cut off his head. The young Moor's head was then used by the girl to contain a basil plant that the girl grew on her balcony which she watered with her tears. At the sight of the luxuriant basil plant, the neighbors of the girl wanted to place something similar in their own homes. This is how they in turn made (fake) Moor's heads, thus giving rise to the long tradition that, through the centuries, has come down to us. (resource for the legend: sicilymart.com)
You are your mother’s Treasure and your Father’s pride and joy they will hold your hands for a while but your heart forever. You will always find a way to make them laugh. Thank you very much for another vlog your commentary is second to none. 🤗🙋♀️ amazing Thank you 😊

My hubby has been to New York and agrees that building looks similar to the flat iron building in New York. Btw Sicily looks magical. Thanks for sharing your memories.
Another great vlog, thanks for taking the time on your holiday to share with us.Being stuck indoors it’s so nice to watch.Joe your hair is really getting long, you will be able to do a man bun soon xxx
Thanks for taking us along on your Sicily trip. It’s not quite what I imagined though…the poo on the street is gross and the toilets being sold on the street is different. We’re planning a trip to Rome next year hopefully.
Joe - you can grow Rubber Tree plants like that in the UK, I live in Devon have seen many of them, and I've even grown an Avocado from the stone. Devon only knows how good it is....😊
Yep, the Flatiron building in New York City was built in 1902, and it was actually inspired by a Flatiron building built by Gooderham and Worts Distillery for their head office in Toronto, Canada in 1891. I wonder if the Canadian one was inspired by this Italian building?
Lol my mother and her sisters would go to the river and wash their clothes there she is only 61, it wasnt so long ago people did those kind of things, and im sure some people still do depending where they live
So much respect for you. But I've been contemplating how we can't really "save the planet". Earth Gaia whatever you want to call this incredible sentient living being is going through her own cycles. This is part of the process and anything unnatural will be gone soon. We are nearing the end of one cycle. Please look up how the solar flares are increasing and ramping up. And how the solar flares impact our multidimensional body and our energetic fields. You could spread a lot of knowledge about that. It is very important.

To grow a rubber plant tree, you probably need a different latitude, and a warm Mediterranean Ocean, and a bit of sunshine 😆

I loathe paper straws. I would much rather just drink out of the glass than use a paper straw. I don't like how they feel in my mouth.
Good old Donald
