Fun Fact: This was supposed to be the series finale. But they had to stop filming halfway through the episode due the Pandemic. So when Netflix released Season 5a (Ep 1-8) it blew up and Netflix renewed it for a final sixth season for the second time ^^ Once they came back to filming, they changed the ending to make another season possible.
(I feel like you can tell that the final fight was shot with heavy COVID restrictions. )
Never heard the bit about the show getting extended after this, but you can definitely tell it was a covid production.
The fact micheal killed Remy proves that even the celestial beings need to take lucifers side in the fight , they might not care about dan but it being a sibling , even an agro one , should matter
Chloe is literally the cutest. Her little dance after "hammer time" is so hilarious. And Zadkiel... so funny 😂
Maze actually said "kill them all" but the subtitle changed it as "fight" 🤷♀️
I find very interesting that scene when Ella is talking with God in this episode, bc she actually for the seconds time talked to no one. First time was in hospital. God is in another universe with Goddes, so no one listened to her. And it's amazing that her faith is so strong and pure, she literally felt like God wasn't up there anymore...
Zackiel makes sense
Zadkiel is biblicaly an archangel of freedom, mercy , banevelonce and kindness and the patron of all who chose to forgive others

Fun fact: The actor playing Chloe's dad in heaven is married to Maze in real life.
I have my theory of why lucifer survived burning in heaven. You must remember, when God said to Michael "Michael, you are no longer welcome on earth", and Amenadiel immediately interpreted, "You are banishing him?"
My theory is that, after the rebellion, God said something similar to Lucifer, you are no longer welcome to heaven, which was interpreted by everyone, including Lucifer, as a banishment from heaven.
Lucifer was the only one who prevented himself from returning to heaven, because he was not welcome, he felt unworthy. By sacrificing himself for Chloe, Lucifer redeemed himself and managed to reconvert or self actualize. That is why, in my opinion, he passed the test. He really must feel worthy of heaven once more.
An issue to highlight is the fact that Mr. Said out Bitch, managed to get out of hell, faced his guilt and found his way out.
More than once Lucifer said that no one had ever managed to escape from his hell loop, even with the doors open, but Lee did, this gives hope for Dan's case.
A detail of the filming, this was shot during the pandemic, which is why the angels keep a safe distance from each other on the field.
Actually what Maze said was " Kill them all ! " But the subtitle says "fight".

P.S the seasons timing is weird because of COVID, they had to stop after episode 8, and because it was so successful, Netflix renewed a 6th season, so when they came back to shoot episodes 9-16 they did season 6 as well which is why it came out so fast.

When I saw Azrael I didn't make the connection at first but then ....when Michael killed Chloe , I died there too😭

Fun fact: those words Maze said to Eve are Lesley Ann Brandt wedding vows....
They had to stop filming because of lockdowns. When they were allowed to start shooting again they had to do it with a lot of restrictions and protocols in place. Did you notice all the angels were socially distanced? That scene was originally meant to have a lot more Angel siblings. I’m not sure what the thinking was on the timing on season 6. If I had to take a guess, they just got their audience back after a long hiatus. Lucifer had Netflix’s highest viewership for a while after 5B dropped. I guess they didn’t want another long break before 6 dropped.

One season left😭 this show went so fast
The 'head' that went flying was a 'tribute' to Joe Henderson😅
S5 was always meant to be split. However, it was only supposed to be a few months. Then the pandemic hit, so those episodes of the back half they had shot, were stuck in post production. The reason they got to have the battle in the Colisseum is because there were still no organized sports, so the management company would rather take some $ versus none to lease it out. It worked out wonderfully, if you ask me. (well, except for the wait.)
Yeah. Covid had the episode drops pretty crazy! They kept stopping production. Then wanted to get back on the proper season drop time. As you can tell they kept leaving us on those holds every time we had a good running build up. Then we had to wait months again. It gave me plenty of time to binge the show before the second half of season 5 dropped. All the waiting sucked ass tbh. Also the show was originally supposed to have only 5 seasons. So this was initially the series finale. It wasn't until months later they decided to extend to a 6th season. They thought with the devils connection to the number 6 it felt right. A lot of the cast had taken on contracts elsewhere before they contacted them to do season 6. Tom Ellis agreed to do season 6 but said no more after that. Since God came in till now I really loved it!! This episode had some amazing and unexpected twists! I would have been satisfied with this ending. Maybe with the exception of Dan not being in hell & Ella not knowing who they are. Hopefully we will get to see a lot of our favorite characters. I really want them to not only tell Ella but show her who they are!! I wanna know more about Dan. If there are exceptions or loopholes for going to heaven like Lucifer did are there exceptions or loopholes for going to or from hell that we don't know about??!

I will say, without revealing too much, Season 5 was the climax, Season 6 is more like an epilogue.

you must have erased teen wolf 6B cuz that was not a good ending. a good ending would have been 6A. and I heard a rumor the way season 6B ended was so they can make a spin off show about the worst villain ever Monroe which didn't happen.
Oh my me... What a great way to end the season lol. Season 6 is a lot more "intimate" the ending is great but I think it takes a bit to get to the great stuff
