Nobody else is doing this kind of content. This is truly useful and will be for many years to come as these Jaguars become rare and collectable. As someone else said you demystify the jobs that would scare the rest of us. Thank you!
Excellent video again paul. Really like the way the clean glass is now securely back in a fully fed rubber seal… Loving how the car is improving in your stewardship
I will check mine in detail tomorrow. However, i haven't noticed anything sinister. Good content. All these discoveries, more things to investigate. Good stuff.
Excellent content. Thank you for demystifying and remedying this annoying design fault with such a straightforward DIY fix. Dare I ask if anybody supplies `ready to fit' repair brackets for this job?
I have subbed to this, great videos and will go along way in helping me do jobs on my recently acquired 2009 4.2 XKRS - which I spent over a year looking for. This window fix is one job I need to do... thanks sir
Good job. Think I could even manage that. Lol. If you can show me how to repair/renew the Paint flake problem from the seat adjustment buttons that would be a good video. Cheers
This broken bracket is not uncommon on these cars, like you I found it impossible to source a replacement. I even tried to track down a second hand quarter glass and failed. I did manage to get hold of a bracket that was cracked, reinforced it with liquid metal adhesive and so far it is holding well but I like your simple solution and will follow that if I am unlucky enough to break another bracket.
There seems to be more design faults in the X150 than in the X100. For example the air intakes on the X150 are really low, and if you try going through a shallow ford the water can be easily sucked in and hydro lock the engine. On the X100 the air intake is above the engine which is more sensible. The rear quarter glass is designed to go down.......on the convertible models.
Yes, the back glass drops on my convertible by pressing the roof down button once, instead of holding the button down. There must be a way to drop it in a coupe, but I don't know how.

Oh man I really appreciate this what a kind gesture and thanks for the support 🙏 😊👍🇬🇧😎
Great video very innovative solution to a possible expensive repair, Some one should make up a batch of theses brackets for the XK community.

Good job👍. I must check mine.
Hi Paul, 2 questions - have you got a manual with removal instructions etc.? Are you planning a front bumper removal as hinted earlier ?
Hi its quite easy to find an x150 Jag manual for a free download try a Google for "X150 service pdf"

I agree, I drowned out my truck and bent all the con rods hydrauliced the engine through the air intake system.
The quarter glass on the/my convertible lowers. With a lot of stubborness that mechanism might be possible to adapt to a coupe´.

If you like the rear quarter glass removed you should have bought the convertible version😃
