      Just out of curiosity, who were you listening to before?

    • @Mordraxxx
      @Mordraxxx 4 года назад +8

      And this is the same as "hindsight is 20/20" when chart reading. You don't know that you've "learned more in these 50 mins" until you've experienced those 11 months of pain, listening to sales pitch gurus, going through FOMO, revenge trading, fear of pulling the trigger, solely trading indicators, using paid for signals etc... That time/money spent trying and failing is the learning process. You could have listened to this podcast as the *FIRST* thing you did at the start of the 11 months, and it would not have made an impression because without your experience of failure, loss, hardship, his words are unrelatable to a brand new trader.

    The gem of wisdom 💎 I'll take with me is when the guest speaker said "People are very excited by The Dream or by the vision of what life could be as a Trader but they just don't build the BRIDGE to it... and set forth the hard work that's required to get there"

    Learning:-
    1. Positional trading >> Day trading / Intraday
    2. Follow the technical religiously
    3. Don't trend against the trend.
    4. Master one thing that makes you money = System.
    5. Risk reward is the key.

  • @andyvaldez212

    The lesson is very simple; Have a system. A plan, a proven strategy that you can apply to the market. Don't worry about all the missed plays or about anything else. Focus on the one thing that actually works. And do it over and over and over again. Only then can you start to branch out to other financial instruments.

    I have a question, I have been paper trading using a strategy that I am assured the banks use, and in my demo account (which was 1:100 leverage) I was pretty successful.
    I had noticed little charges which I assumed where spreads/swap (on my demo) but because the upside was so large it seemed like a small price to pay for such a lucrative upside return.
    I then however wanted to start trading live and heres where my problems began. My broker was 24option and here in the uk the leverage is capped at 1:30.
    The strategy I had was based on small position sizes with 1:100 leverage and wider stop losses to avoid the volatility that kills a lot of retail traders.
    My question is does swap charges change with a different leverage levels and/or position sizes?
    Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

      Hope you risk 1-2% per trade, can't imagine what's wide stop on 1:100, 100-120 pips against your position mean stop hit, wider profit target as well for positive expectation, but in reality 1% of trades make 600 pips or so, (1H TF), 12-15pips is optimal for a stop on 1h, daily, weekly is where your system could be profitable, 1:30 leverage means 3.3 times less sized position possible compared with 1:100
