Upping the pace of the map changing might be a good idea since Epic wouldnt want Creative 2.0 to overshadow the main game. More new maps might be the way to maintain interest in BR
I don’t think epic cares if creative 2.0 does better than br. all they care about is that something is popular on their platform. perfect example of this is how they ditched save the world because of battle royale. though they do probably care more about it this time rather than save the world

Basically the first two seasons were the seven and the IO going back and forth, the third season was a post-war theme, and the current season is a "Island being taken over" theme just like the cube season

I think, although I could be incredibly incorrect, that the Cube Queen and The Herald are either working together, or working for the same or similar goal that is the “The Nothing”

Idk how I'd feel about Chapter 4. I'd love a new map, but I still want to play on this map more. Too many maps releasing will kind of drain the excitement and make new maps just feel like new season updates.

I personally think that there might not be a Chapter 4 map this December but I also can't deny it happening
it all makes sense tho. plus, chapter 3 season 1 started on december 5th 2021. chapter 3 season 4 ends on december 4th 2022... which means chapter 4 would have a start date of december 5th 2022 which is exactly one year since chapter 3 initially started.

I would be very sad if they started copying apex with the new map every year thing. Fortnite has already copied alot from warzone and apex sense chapter 3. If they copy the map thing it will suck. Because what if you liked the map alot and its only there for 1 year? If they do start doing 1 year long maps i might just quit and switch to apex at that point because why play a game if its just copying another game?

This is actually crazy how we could have a whole entire new map and chapter almost a year from the start of this chapter. I really wouldnt mind that much, although i do like the map and chapter a lot, I also like to have a refresh. Maybe it could even bring more people back to fortnite like fe4rless

I agree. At the beginning of Chapter 3 I was upset that Chapter 2 wouldn't finish with a Season X of its own, but I was really excited to see it become Chapter 3 quicker.

I remember back when chapter 2's finale event was about a week away, there was a leak spilling a lot about chapter 3. One of those leaks if I remember correctly was that the Cube Queen would have a major part to play in Chapter 3. I think the Herald and the Queen are linked and that the Last Reality will return in the end-of-season event. However, I don't think that this is the end of Chapter 3 because we haven't seen the Cube Queen yet.
We could see her in this chapter (end event) so maybe they will destroy the island with cubes UFO's and chrome
The source was fake and made very obvious predictions based on previous information and the new leak has been spilling mostly lies recently and only got one right. If you guys had a brain you’d realise the cube queen died in the end event 2.0 and water explosions are indeed far more dangerous and the cube queen easily got killed by the shockwave rather than the explosion as the shockwave from a water explosion can cause severe organ failure and most likely death.
I'm thinking the new map found will be for Creative 2.0 because that's set to release next season. From what I've heard (take with pinch of salt), Epic has "confirmed" a Chapter 3 Season 5, so while there are definitely some similarities between how the Chrome is being handled to the Last Reality back in C2 Season 8, I don't think we're quite done with Chapter 3 just yet. I think it's easy to assume "end of chapter" because of the near apocalyptical setting of Season 4, but we've been through similar situations and the chapter didn't conclude. When the volcano erupted in Chapter 1 season 8, the map didn't reset, but Neo Tilted and Mega Mall were built to repair the damage. In Chapter 2 Season 3, the Island was entirely flooded. In C2 S5, the Zero Point was about to implode, yet Chapter 2 Season 6 saw it semi-stabilized in The Spire for another season before returning underground during the final two seasons of Chapter 2. Point is, just because things look grim doesn't mean it's the end of another chapter. It could be, but I have my doubts. Additionally, last chapter they had two live events back to back with Sky Fire setting the stage for the end of Chapter 2 and then The End 2.0 wrapping up the chapter. While they don't have to pull two events on us, I think they would want to do something cinematic to introduce the final threat of the chapter. I think the Nothing has a larger role to play, and we haven't really seen what this new faction is fully capable of yet. At least with the Last Reality, we were aquatinted with the group since Chapter 1 Season 5 and we saw what they were capable of throughout chapters 1 and 2. Again, while they don't have to, I think they'd do a double-up on the live events to introduce the final threat of the chapter instead of just ending where we are. Again, I could be totally wrong, but I think ever since Chapter 2 Season 7, people have been quick to guess "end of the chapter" every time the going gets tough. Y'all were right about Season 8 ending C2, but theories started again about the chapter ending with the Collider a couple seasons ago because of the Origin's report, but we stopped that during Collision. That's just one random shmuck on the Internet's thoughts though. Let me know your take.

One of my personal theories is since chapter 1 is 10 seasons, chapter 2 was eight, if chapter 3 is 4 then eventually maybe one chapter will only be one season and will have a HUGE event that takes us back to the chapter 1 map 🤔
no, chapter 2 was only 8 seasons because season 1 and 2 lasted too long and epic were forced to cut the chapter short, the pandemic really ruined chapter 2's flow

There is also a contrail on page 2 of the bonus rewards called reality falls which could be just referencing the Poi reality falls because the contrail has what seems to be the top of the tree when it was blooming but i could be more.
Idk if i would like a new map so soon. After like over a year you start feeling home on a map. Everytime we got a new map, it was kind of empty and uninteresting. Updating the existing map with big permanent changes keeps it interesting and makes it like a home. You know everything, but there are also always new things and after a while you know a story from the past to almost every little corner, because you spent so much time there. And i think that was the original feeling of chapter one that we all loved so much.
I really hope the chapter 2 comes back miss me some misty meadows and steamy stacks

I like the combination idea, and I really wish we did go back to Chapter 2 but then it would be codenamed Apollo and not something else 😢

I had this huge stretch of a theory that maybe the Reality Tree's roots have been growing through to the Chapter 2 Island, as that IS where the bottom of the tree *would* technically be. Maybe the tree has been sending Reality Blooms back to the Chapter 2 map as we've been playing the past few seasons, and by the time we get to Season 5 and we go back to the Chapter 2 side, it's COMPLETELY changed because of the Reality Blooms that have spread there over time. And obviously, if they changed the Chapter 2 map up THAT much to the point where the only thing that remained were a few old locations/terrain, they could change the codename is it would technically be a new map if that were to be the case.
That's just my huge theory right now, though.
my theory for Asteria, the herald will use chrome on the zero point, zp will try some defense measure and potentially shatter c3 map, chunks of it will exist parallel to chunks of Asteria, once the zero point stabilizes, either we get full Asteria or we stay in chapter 3

I feel they gonna do the same thing like apex and rotate the maps every hour, for mechanics it would be cool if they actually added the ability to do a melee attack with ur picaxe like if u are 2 meters away from opponent u do this lunge and swing if u double tap ur shoot button while having ur pic axe out. They should also make a slide kick animation

Imagine if the new map was the middle between the chapter 2 and 3 map then in the event they collided or collapsed on each other and made a chaotic “paradise.” Then the Zero Point would take substantial damage and would spawn in flying animals and flying islands. (This is just what I would want this season but now looking at it, it sounds very cool)

Honestly I feel like a new map would be very nice but who knows what’s gonna happen! Nice video can’t wait to see what happens in the next 2 months.
I think that the next chapter will indeed start on 3rd December and I think the map will be a desert, here's why:
1) 5.27 that snapshot reminds me of the book "The Dune", written by Frank Herbert (reference). Yes, the dude that brought up the quote that was requoted by Donald Mustard, with a "freaking" too. (4.09)
2) There were leaks in the beginning of the summer that the next theme of the map will be "drought". Maybe the leaks were way to early or Epic Games changed their mind.
3) Rideable (flying) animals make sense in a desert (pterosaurs and dinosaurs, which were leaked btw too).
I don’t think next season is chapter 4, but there is definitely a possibility

If next season is a new map, I think it will be us going back into the black hole and going back to the very start of fortnite *going back in time will be the chapter 1 version of the map we are on now*

I have a theory: it’s gonna be like the galactus even which was also season 4. It will have a black hole and a lot of destruction but it will still be the same chapter. Like chapter 2 there will be a new storyline after season 4, switching from the agency to io, and this chapter will switch from the io to the chrome storyline.
Doesnt make sense sinds why would they have a whole new map name they didnt have that during season 4
I think it Will release season 6-7-8 but definitely not next season but if it does happen i think if will be a mix of the both maps or a map rotation
@sypher The 2 maps will crash into each other due to the pillars in the middle breaking somehow and then when they collide we will be level with the zero point which is between them right now and there will only be rubble on the ground or NOTHING
That's just my thoughts though
My main issue with getting a new map. Is that it doesn’t feel warranted. And while this map is amazing, we haven’t had enough time on it make memories

I think asteria is the chapter 3 map but chrome I say because the chrome can change and make new structures ( as seen with the herald poi ) the chrome could possibly change everything and/ or anything on the map the chrome could change the map so much that it looks like a new map

Could we have a evacuation event?
On spawn island we can also see the hot air ballons lifting up building into the sky. I think that overtime, the chrome will take over the map (similarly to the corruption spreading in CH2 S8) and we will have to evacuate the whole island. (Including Spawn Island)
So it could be possible that the Asteria Island is somewhere in the ocean but we just cant see it because its too far away. The pirate NPC could become part of a quest that is to retrieve pieces of paper which will indicate the way to Asteria?
This event could be similar to one of the events in World War Z, as in we need to repel a chrome attack while we are preparing for evacuation.
I dont know what the chrome invation could be composed of, but i assume that as the season goes on, Epic will release monsters (similar to the sideways or cube monsters) and caretakers (y'know, the giant monsters from CH2 S8) that we will have to fight. When the Foundation said that we will be facing threats like the last reality and worse (during the "A New Day Solo event, which was the opening cutscene to Chapter 3), i think this was what he was talking about.
But since The Zero Point would be in their hands, we would need to find a way to transport it safely. And to top it off, if we evacuate, we will probably have to face the chrome monsters chasing the loopers through the water on boats.
I think we will eventually or next season/chapter have control over the zero point and start having "rotation" in islands 1-4, maybe the zero point is damaged or like i originally said, we have control over it now and it can send us to where we want every 2-5 hours.

Event prediction , in the event I think that the map may get overgrown by plants or consumed by chrome , nothing will survive , I think that many will hide in bunkers until it is all gone just like peely and Jones’ did in s9 . After they come out , it’ll be a completely new map.
That's what I think chrome consumes the map and tree grows a lot and it's time to start fresh that's what it think
Not sure that would make any sense. The Cube Queens and Heralds goal is to fully eradicate this entire reality. They only want their reality to remain, so we would just vanish so hiding in bunkers wouldn’t do anything most likely
A really good idea for the first person mode would be that you could choose that you want to play in first person or third person nex to the fill or no fill (I think it would work out)

I just wish the chapter 1 map comes back at some point and maybe the new map might be the chapter 1 chapter 2 and chapter 3 maps all combined to create one mega map
I think it would be a mix with chapter 2 and 3

@4:09, that's a Dune reference "litany against fear". The Nothing could also be a reference to the movie "The NeverEnding Story", which also has a tie-in with Fortnites rock family who if I'm not mistaken are currently missing from the island.

Well knowing that Asteria is supposed to be the origin of the Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 maps, wouldn't it make sense that Asteria is Creative 2.0? Maybe they call it Asteria to hint the fact that they used Creative 2.0 (or a similar system) to create these to maps?
Could be with creative royal where creators have a new island where they can build the map

My idea of this, chapter 4 is gonna be a remix of all the non chapter 1 locations in one place, like every single chapter 2 and 3 location in the map because if my theory of the chapter 1 maps locations being put into different places within Apollo and Artemis then there must be another source for the other locations in the map, which is probably chapter 4

I personally hope this isn't real because I feel like there's still more that they can do. Now if it's part of the storyline, I guess you could say this island was taken over by the Chrome and we had to search for a new one and that's where the Paradigm is, but I still feel like it's too soon. I mean, I was even mad that we switched from the Chapter 2 Island so soon. I understand that it's most likely because they delayed the first two Season's for covid and if we didn't delay them we would have ended in Chapter 2 Season 10, but I digress. This is definitely too early, but in the end, I guess I can't really control what the decide to do.
I feel like C2 ran its course and left at a good time (before you say anything, I liked C2), but I agree that C3 has untapped potential and shouldn't leave so early
@@inthestorm11 For me, it was just odd to end on Season 8, when we were so close to getting to the 10th Season just like the original Island, but then when I really thought about it, I realized that yeah, they did delay the first two Season's by quite a lot. If anything, Fortnite was a little slow during the end of Chapter 2 and once Chapter 3 came, it started getting another big buzz again, but I feel like we're still ready for more. If anything, Season 4 is a weird number to end it on, so if they at least do it in Season 5, I think that would be a little bit better!? 😅
@Tara Bartholomew Exactly. It would have been 10 Season's, but we delayed Season 1 and 2 due to covid, that's what why we ended things in Season 8. It was the same length, but because of the delay we only made it the Season 8.
I do think that creative 2.0 could possibly release alongside season 5 or ch4 but chapter 3 could be like the 4 horsemen but it's a possibility

I think you are right because next season or chapter no matter what there will be a 2 day down time
It would make sence if asteria was the in between cave section of the map we can see when the island both flips and from that shot from the c3s1 traier. Maybe once we defeat the nothing (if we do) we have won the fight however the chrome still bursts out and takes control a lot of the island (but it will slowly drain) and because of this we go into hiding in the caves for the season before resurfacing.
I personally like to think the herald is just a snapshot of the cube queen. Both the same person yet 2 separate entities. Kinda like peely and jonesy. It would also explain the heralds name

I think the Cube Queen and The Herold are either sisters or cousins where they have the same idea to cosume the island for themselves, if the Cube Queen is still alive and the herold costumes the island they might battle against each other creating a new war leading to the map Asteria.
