I have a "Watch later" playlist with more than 100 videos on a waiting line to be seen, and still your Keep or Cull's always jump the line as soon as I see there's a new one in ahaha Big pile to cull this time. The only one I am (was?) kind of excited to try is Hamlet
Totally agree with you on Flamecraft and Fancy Feathers. Flamecraft is gorgeous, but definitely didn’t excite me in any other way. Also got to try Verdant and thought it was fine-not one I would buy. And I also enjoyed Trekking through History enough to keep it, at least for now. 🤓
Bummer about Hamlet, was really looking forward to my copy arriving. I will still give it a try multiplayer and solo, hopefully I enjoy one of the two game modes.
Your attitude towards Hamlet has been brought up many times. The tiny boards, texts, icons, and components. Someone said it was as if they had a big game and shrunk it down to 75% to fit in a smaller table space and box. I had originally pledged for this, then felt the S&H was a bit high, so I pre-ordered. Being in Canada, we were the last to receive our shipment by 3+ months, and by that time, the public started in on the same issues that you mentioned. I dropped it and bought 2 games for the same price.
I agree 100% about Verdant. I was sooo excited for this game and first lay was solo…terrible. 2nd and 3rd game was 2-player better than solo but just not my cup of tea. It’s a shame because I really had high hopes for it.
I think it’s a really great family game that I can play with my nearly 8 year old. Lots of positive player interaction and simple resource gathering and contract fulfilment. Super light though so if that’s not your thing, definitely skip it.
Oh yeah, it is, eight! Firstly I want to reduce my collection, but soon I will buy new stuff again. Only exception was getting Era of Tribes 2nd hand as I always wanted to try that :D
Lol Johannes, not all drafting games are simultaneous. Lots of drafting games just put one "hand" of cards face-up on the table and players take turns drafting a card
Yeah, I always forget that «open drafting» as I tend to call it is also drafting. It might be just me and my 1000s of hours of drafting Magic The Gathering, but it would be interesting to see what most people think of with drafting!
@@BoardGamingRamblings yeah I suspect if you grow up watching American sports with the NFL and NBA and fantasy drafts then you have a different frame of reference for "drafting".
So nice that you are having a positive discussion about the games you are culling too.
Thank you! I could probably say something positive about most games I have ever played! 🥳
I love these keep/cull videos. Keep it up!
Thank you so much! 🤩

Thank you so much! That means more than you know :) We’ll try to get back to a more normal schedule for Keep or Cull next year!
@@BoardGamingRamblings Yeah to that! But that as much time as you need. It is important to still have fun with these videos

So many games, so little time! Many of these games are fun enough, but we can’t keep them all, hehe! Thanks for watching 🤩

I haven’t seen any other content for it yet, so I do not know what others have to say about the game, but sadly wasn’t a hit for us 😢

"Flamecraft is cute" fatigue. lol
Haha 😂
Bummer about Findorff, I was excited for that one since I was pleasantly surprised by Faiyum. Did you guys like/keep that one?
We have kept Faiyum so far! I also liked Findorff, but not enough to keep it! :)
Findorff is our game of the year. We like faiyum, too.

Many have enjoyed it more, but sadly fell veey flat for us!
Well good, I feel less bad about missing Flamecraft after Alex, Quack, and Shira gave it a 3.5...lol.
I know many love it, but it wasn’t for us 😅

Ugh, I really want to try Findorf, sounds like I could like it more than you guys. Can I still use a form to try my luck?
It was absolutely a fun one! I enjoyed my plays, but didn’t feel the need to own it! It should be available in retail already? Or maybe I am wrong? :)

Makes sense! 🤩
I don't understand how Verdant is so dividing. I love it (maybe even more than Cascadia), but you're not the first people to say it's boring.
Glad you are loving it! Not every game is for everyone :) Just didn’t click with us!
