  • Charles Malki, Biologist & Plant Expert for ivorganics.com/ explains (1) Why MAY is the #1 most important month to fertilize your plants, (2) Why IV Organic® Fertilizers Are THE MOST Complete Fertilizers On The Market, and (3) Tour of some of the fruit trees, vegetables, roses, palms & more that we'll be fertilizing this week.
    BACKGROUND INFO:
MAY is the #1 MOST important month of the year to organically fertilize your plants! June 21, 2023 is the 1st day of summer, marking the longest daylight hours and for most plants the most metabolically active period of the year! Feeding your plants with IV Organic® ALL PURPOSE Fertilizers will ensure that your plants have ALL six (6) plant macronutrients they need to have the most productive, fruitful & longest-lasting life.
ALL plants, including your fruit trees, vegetables, ornamentals, roses & flowers, in-ground, potted plants, young & established, require SIX (6) MacroNutrients to reach their maximum natural genetic potential. MacroNutrients are elements that plants need in abundance and include Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P), Potassium (K), Magnesium (Mg), Sulfur (S) and Calcium (Ca).
For In-Ground: Apply as a top dressing 3x per year: Spring, Summer, Early Fall
For Containers: Apply 1x per month during the growing seasons of Spring, Summer & Early Fall.
The SIX (6) MacroNutrients & Benefits:
Nitrogen (N- 7) aids in promoting growth and greening.
Phosphorus (P-15) supports an abundance of flowers, aids in fruit set and development, and improves drought tolerance.
Potassium (K-19) improves disease resistance, root development and strength.
Magnesium (Mg-12) is the heart of the chlorophyll molecule which is responsible for photosynthesis, the process of converting water and carbon dioxide, with light energy (sun), into sugar molecules.
Sulfur (S-16) helps turn pale green plants to a darker green, plus facilitates many plant metabolic processes.
Calcium (Ca-20) is the building block of all plant cell walls and may contribute to as much as thirty percent of the dry weight of a plant.
IV Organic® ALL PURPOSE Fertilizers have it ALL, in both the Super & Premium Blend products. The Super Blend simply has a higher percentage of MacroNutrients PLUS Azomite (which is derived from Volcanic Ash Deposit to offer your plants many of the MicroNutrients, TOO!) The product can be applied to the soil, as a foliar feed, and even as a supplement to your compost tea.
IV Organic® ALL PURPOSE Fertilizers are organic, effective, USA-made products to maximize the productivity, health & life of all plants and trees. These products are also OMRI certified to support both organic commercial orchards and backyard growers that are seeking to grow the healthiest plants (and food) with minimal impact on our environment.

Hi Charles. I received your cuttings. I put them in cups they way your recommended. I added it to a clear tub with a lid. I tried your way when I lived back north. Since I live in S.C. now and restarting my garden and figs. I keep the lid on all the cuttings and most of them are already growing leaves and one is making a fig. Do I pick it off to give the roots more energy to make more roots?
