She makes stefan think hes sick,tortures defan and can influence them (kinda like compulsion but in the books stronger vamps can influence weaker vamps). Elena kills her. Katherine wasnt very much the mastermind, like she is portrayed in the show but super powerful. She could shapeshift into 3 animals.
