I think with ad blockers just like with illegal streams people will eventually find a work around. Its just a constant rat race between the people evolving the ad blockers and the people evolving the ad blocker detection on RUclips. I dont use ad blocker when I'm on my phone but i have it on Firefox and Opera for when I'm on PC watching from home.
Just switch your VPN to Russia. Russian IPs are punished by youtube with broken community posts (can't see pics 95% of a time), but you also can't see 100% of ads (Because youtube got tired of being fined for showing russians the UK rain support ads, they just switched it off entirely until it stops existing).

ublock origin and you have to update the filters on it every now and then, youtube can't do shit
ive used ublock origin since it forked from adblock and never updated anything on it and it still works 🤷🏼♀crazy, ublock origin is just too strong

Im using brave browser integrated AdBlock and yt works fine, not blocked
