@@alecdawg11 if that's Josh singing and not Ryan on the Original then it's insane how similar the two sound. Ryan was definitely in the band at the time the album released though and was definitely still doing cleans so if he wasn't doing them fully it's still possible he may have provided a backing vocal because the clean vocals are just way to similar for him not to have sang in some capacity.

I'm not asking for a recreation of the original mix by any means, but come on...couldn't we clean this up at least a little? You could swim in this.
I think this whole new rerecord is going to be amazing especially having all the features, however I immediately prefer the original. Two different takes on the same thing and we get to enjoy both! Im very excited for the rest!
The guitars are easily heard there... maybe get better speakers? Only issue I've noticed was in the first verse the reverb on the snare is forward more. Can easily eq the reverb bus to fix that. But the guitars are fine lol
My wife (who isn't even a musician, has never been to a studio, doesn't know a thing about mixing) can hear the guitars so clearly that's a you problem 😂

LOVED August Burns Red's re-recording of Leveler, thought that was done much better than the first. This however, I think the original mix was much much better.
I feel like I'm 18 years old again listening to this, It feels like yesterday that I first saw Miss May I open up for Killswitch Engage in 2013. Glad these guys are still going strong 15 years after Apologies are for the Weak first dropped. This remaster goes so fucking hard, can't wait to hear how Architect and Porcelain Wings are gonna sound!
