Oh I’m so excited for this! I don’t feel like enough people talk about brushes!!
Bridget Kane heyyy I’m a Bridget, too! 😄🙋🏼♀️
I agree
I love that you still have a day job and never get entangled in RUclips drama.
I would love it if you would do a Shop Miss A haul and review. Also I loved hearing your top favorite brushes! Thanks!
You include something for everybody; variety when it comes to brushes and prices... great video ✨🙂👍🏼🎥💄
Yes! Makeup brushes is an area of my collection that I really need to upgrade!
You don't have to apologize for dirty brushes, just shows that those brushes are truly used and loved!
Japonesque spray brush cleaner - life changer. Quick spray, wipe on a cloth. Dries in minutes, doesn't dry my brushes out, doesn't irritate my eyes. I have to wash my brushes much less often, and they are always clean when I want them. I use it every time I use my brushes.
Ok, so the white handled Wet n Wild makeup brushes are AMAZING. The ones with the pink tipped hair. They are all fantastic, but I love the blush brush, the foundation brush is good, but THE BEST one is the crease brush. It’s $.99 and SO soft and perfect. I literally have like 4-5 of them lol. The thing is, I can’t find that one everywhere. I find it at a store here called Smith’s (it’s our Kroger owned store.... Fred Meyer, etc.)
Angie Lott aka angelang83 I actually found that one at our dollar store!
I have a bunch of them, all from like 4 different stores lol
I have the crease brush and the small concealer brush that I use to apply my lid or inner corner shadows and I love them! I want to try the powder brush next as I heard good things about that one
What is your current hair routine for curly/wavy hair!!!!! Please...
Your eye look is NOT boring. I think it's so pretty! This is the kind of makeup I wear on a daily basis so it's nice to see it done RIGHT like yours :) Great video!
This video was definitely something I would like to see more of. With so many different kinds of brushes and brands it's always nice to know what works the best. Thank you!
will you review the RMS uncover concealer? It's apparently the only concealer that doesn't sink into fine lines, or so I read on the sephora reviews!
I am allll about good brushes, thanks for the video!
I just saw the notification pop up and I dropped everything to watch. You are one of my favorites! I am so happy for you and Tyler! I love how real you are and just very genuine. We would totally be friends.
You’ve been knocking it out of the park with your video topics lately. I’d love to see a review of the upcoming Backtalk palette. It looks soooo pretty.
I've been in the market for some new brushes, and I'm excited that you mentioned some brands that are new to me or reminded me of brands that I've been wanting to try!
The Zoeva 142 Concealer Buffer Brush is definitely one I couldn't live without. I use it everyday to blend my eyeshadow primer, and it is awesome. I also love the Sigma F80 for foundation, and have recently discovered the new Smashbox brushes. The Sheer Cheek Brush has become my holy grail blush brush and the Sheer Powder Brush has become my holy grail all over powder brush. I also recommend the Sephora Pro Contour Brush and the Morphe E49 for setting under the eyes, the MAC 242 for packing on shimmer eyeshadow and the Morphe E36 for blending the lower lash line or for inner corner highlight.
I was just watching some your old videos because I was looking for some good cool tones look, I would love to see you try to recreate an old makeup video of yours or your favorite cool toned makeup products! love you Jessica!
I use the Lagure brush every day. I bought it after watching your Artis vs Lagure video and I’m so glad I did!
I can’t live without the Wet N Wild crease brush. I bought that Lagure Dupe you mentioned. It is awesome. I really like the Elf Stipple brushes too. For bronzer it’s the Real Techniques powder brush.
Obsessed with brushes. Also loving my new Clairisonic foundation head.
For eyes, the best thing I've done is get squirrel hair Wayne Goss and Hakuhodu ones for anything below the crease and Hakuhodu crease brushes in supersoft goat. My eyes water terribly to even touch my lashes area so I realized that using the supersoft squirrel for outer V and lining top and bottom lashes really made a HUGE difference because they don't subtly scratch the skin near my lashes and I can barely feel using them. Highly recommend it if your eyes water.
Jessica, my wonderful husband bought me the Pur oval foundation brush for Christmas. I absolutely love it! First expensive brush I've ever used! Here in Canada it was $40. So worth it!
After Christmas I found a set of brushes with rose and gold handles at Target. They were originally $12 for the set of 5 with a small zipper case. I paid $3 and figured if they weren’t any good, no big deal. Wow, was I surprised in a good way. The blush brush puts on blush so natural looking it almost doesn’t look like you’ve applied makeup but that you have a natural flush. All of the other brushes work equally as well.
The ELF crease brush is also a huge favorite as are some of the others.
I am so happy you made a video on brushes! Love your videos. 😀😀
My very favourite one I think is the ELF highlight brush (the black one). It's great for highlight, but the shape is perfect for undereye powder!
I wonder why nobody has thought to make a clear cap for one side of two sided brushes ( a cap like for pencil products) so one side can be protected while the brush is stored standing in a holder!?
I AM HERE FOR THIS! I have mostly Morphe and looking to expand my horizons! Sat down and ready!!!!!!!
If you like the elf crease brush you need to try the colourpop crease brush it is great. They are very similar.
Great video-I agree with so many of your recommendations, especially the It Cosmetics blush brush. Another brush brand I’ve discovered is Smith-I have a couple of their eye brushes that are so unique in shape-they are some of my favorites.
Jessica, can you do a brushing washing video? I'd love to see what you've used that works the best, didn't work etc... how you dry them etc
I'm soooo glad you did this. I love buying brushes, a little too much if I'm honest. Lol Inlove my Flower Beauty sponge and I bought it based on your recommendation. I hated the Real Techniques sponge, yuck. I may give the L'Oreal one a try. I love my Wayne Goss #16, I have hooded eyes and it's the perfect tapered crease brush. I love all my Elf and Wet n Wild brushes, these are proof that excellent brushes can be found inexpensively. Thanks for this Jess! You look beautiful.
Love the L'Oreal sponge! I bought one after hearing you talk about it, and I fell in love. I think I'm on my third one now. Such a good tool!
I didn't even know Milani made brushes until yesterday when I picked up that exact highlighting brush from Walmart yesterday! So if you can't find those brushes in your CVS, Walgreens, Ulta, etc., try Walmart! On a side note, why is it that Walmart gets so many of the new launches and it takes other drugstores months for that stuff to trickle in...?
My favorite highlighting is the e.l.f. flawless concealer brush
I 💯 agree with u on the L’Oréal sponge.... my first one was amazing and became my favorite, then my 2nd one was not the same.... so those are definitely hit or miss! Right now I am using the flower beauty and at first I thought it was tooooo soft but then I got use to it and it has become my go to sponge.... and I love all the It brushes.... never had one I didn’t like.... they are my favorite brush line for sure!
I love the Flower brushes! They are sooo soft. And of course Real Technique and Luxie are great too! Thanks for this video. I love learning about what other brushes people like. ❤😊
I love brush videos!!! We need more.
Love the L’Oréal sponges! I haven’t experienced the differing textures yet but I’ll watch fo that.
Thanks for choosing so many affordable options!!
You’re real, I believe genuine, so I appreciate your content! I say this on the heels of seeing another creator who I once appreciated...change. Not for the terrible, not for the better but just feels like here’s more ego (or $$) involved. It’s a difficult platform to be on, I see that. But if you are looking for it- -and I am- then you can see what’s true and what’s not. Thank you for being true!
Loved this video!! I am definitely checking out the Clarisonic foundation brush and the IT Cosmetics ones as well. Can you do a get ready with me and show us how you use the Artis concealer (round) brush 😮!! I would love to see the outcome. I own the Artis #7 brush and I love it!!
I bought the flower sponge on your recommendation and I love it! I've never tried the beauty blender, but why spend that much?!? Thanks so much for talking about it!
I love my Wayne Goss set. I know that they are expensive, and I do use a real technique sponge for foundation, but they are so good that they make any shadow seem high end!
Like any other part of Makeup, brushes are all about preference too I’m very specific about what Ill use. I’ve tried SOOO many brands & types & I know what I like & what works best, I even know their behaviors & patterns too lol.
you will find this hard to believe but my first expensive brush was synthetic and the brush is around 40 years old! I have synthetic and hair. Use what works for you. I have natural hair brushes that I originally bought at art supply store for painting. No kidding.
Mae Farris
Exactly Mae! It’s all about preference & what works best 😊. So funny you have a brush that’s almost a half a century old lolol! I’ve purchased some of my brushes from art supply stores too, but not so much now - no need anymore lol 😁
You would probably like the IT complexion perfection foundation globe brush. It is the big brother to the dual ended #7 brush. The Sephora #93 is my favorite blending brush. I use it for blush and bronzer when I want a really light touch-like when I’m using a highly pigmented powder.
I love the KVD concealer brush by Brie my nose contour. OMG I can not live without it, there is something about the angle that helps me blend it so well and just recently I purchased the cream contour brush and it’s awesome. I am going to try the Clarisonic brush for cream contour.
I love my nude beauty blender but I just tried the Sephora $12 pink one and I love it! And I’m in love with my Wayne goss eye shadow brushes and my hakuhodo eye shadow brushes. They really changed my eyeshadow game. I also have a Luxi crease brush I love.
I like knowing what brushes people like and some of the common ones that most people use. ❤️
I love elf crease brush too 😭💖
I love brushes a lot more then anything in makeup and I love that kind of videos
What is the deal with the inconsistency in the L'Oreal sponges?? I've found the same thing, they're not all the same
Meghan Ludwig I thought I was the only one! I have gotten a couple in store and then the last three online and I feel like they are different. It’s weird. Like making my foundation apply weird. Am I alone?
I love Smith Cosmetic brushes. They have a lip brush that Raw Beauty Kristi recommended for eyes and I have been obsessed. I love packing on shimmers on the lid with that brush and also SC Arrowhead brush too. It looks like an arrowhead so it can get right in the corner of the eye. Love it! I am a huge fan of Zoeva brushes too. I have the ultimate eye set. Obsessed. I also have various It cosmetics and Luxies. So good. A good brush makes makeup so much more fun and easier on yourself. Personal preference is the same for brushes too. I need to try the L’Oréal sponge. I love it Flower Beauty so much. I switched from Real Techniques. Thanks for the video! ❤️
I love my mac 217 and 239 brushes for eyeshadow, I've had both for years and they are a great blending and shading combo for me. I love the real techniques expert face brush and setting brush. One I've been using tons lately is the ecotools precision blush brush. It's really soft, not too big, and allows good placement and easy blending of blush and contour/bronzer.
Also, I've been very pleasantly surprised by the new no7 sponge I got as part of a GWP set. It's soft and it's cut with some nice flat angles as well as a rounded end and a point. I've never tried a beauty blender, but I like this one better than my usual real techniques.
I need to try these! Also rn my fav brush is the elf precise powder blush in their new line and the anastasia eyeshadow brush that comes with their palettes lol
I never see enough of these videos!!
I couldn’t agree more about it Cosmetics brushes I have so many of them with zero disappointment. I actually have two of the blush “boutique” brushes just incase. Nothing applies blush like that brush does. Love it!
Jess i totally know how you feel when you have one of your fav brushes dirty and you have to use a different one. You should try the cinema secrets brush cleaner. It comes in a huge bottle and its not expensive. It spot cleans sooo good and then you can use the brush you want any day between washes. It literally takes 10 seconds!. Its awesome. They also have a little travel size spray one you could try first to see if you like it
Awesome video!! I really enjoy the Real Techniques sponges. I like the price of them as well. ❤️
I have the IT #7 brush and love it. Got it odd QVC. Also my favorite sponges are from Shop Miss A. Soooo soft.
I love love love my l'oreal sponge and got it on a recommendation from you!! Thank you for your reviews and channel 😊
My fave brush still is my NYX fluffy crease brush. I got it when I started learning about makeup and man...it's still my go to for my eyes. It's like my screw up-fixer.
I recently picked up the elf total face sponge. Love it.
Have you ever tried the Sephora brand makeup sponges ??
Thank you for doing a brush video, I so wanted to see this and have your advise 👍👍
Essence has a tiny eyeliner brush that is excellent!
I love the real technique sponges!
Was re-watching an older video and this popped up....aka stop everything because Jess put out a brush review!!!!!
That Luxie brush is awesome and NO ONE talks about it!!!
hey jess i agree the consistency in the quality of drugstore sponges and even some brushes isn't the best...my favourite one from the drugstore is the green sponge from ecotoools and the original real techniques sponge! However the beauty blender is the only sponge that doesn't take of product on certain parts of my face when im trying to build up a foundation or layer cream products (concealer, bronzer, blush, highlight, contour) and I don't know what it is but i have tried so many methods of blending product out that at this point i've just gone back to my trusted sigma F80 flat top kabuki brush, is the LA girl sponge any good maybe l'll give that a go and hopefully don't have the same problem with it
Hey guys im Trying to contact her incase she needs music for her channel !

you should try the Japonesque kumadori brush and sponge line from ulta! They're so bomb!
ugh I loveee your hairrrrrrr 💖
Oh and I use (and love) the L'Oréal sponge, per your recommendation.
DO A MAKEUP BRUSH DECLUTTER
It Cosmetics heavenly lux powder dome brush 😍😍 my favorite
Thank you for this video. How often do you wash your brushes? And how often do you replace them?
I totally agree about the pink and nude beauty blender! I got the nude 1st and wasn't impressed. It's good but not until I got the pink one did I see how great they could be. I also love the ulta brand sponges, the pink ones that come in a 2 pk. I haven't tried any of the others from ulta. Coastal scents, the morphe elite and gilded lines and luxie are some of my fave brushes. Of course sigma too!
Ugh, I'm obsessed with brushes and I have way too many. Now you made me want several more. :P I love brush videos!
Yay! I've needed this video, because I have NO idea what to buy!
I agree with Bridget not to many people talk about brushes. By the way I use all Elf brushes especially since they put out the newest ones.
Brushes are very personal thing. I love my Royal and Langnickle angled contour brush and crease and blending brushes. I really love my Sigma Blending, Morphe and Crown blending brushes. I use the heck out of blending brushes so have a lot. I love my Elf blending and small and medium crease brushes. My two favourite face brushes are my Olivia and Oliver flat top powder brush and my Elf flat top powder brush. I got a new one for backup. I also love my Bella Pierre Kabuki brush for powders. I use my Wet N Wild white with pink tips blending brush for my E.L.F. HD Translucent powder. It is the perfect size for swiping the powder away.
I would love to see a video on must have brushes for beginners. Like what you need to complete a full face
YES! Finally! Your favorite brushes! Weeeeeee! Thank you. 😘
glamour dolls makes a brush called the romantic rose brush that i cannot live without, the elf crease brush you mentioned seems really similar :)
I loooooove elf crease brush! Have like 3, such good price and quality! I I love the flat liner brush (for stamping lower lash line
Hello Jessica, I really apreciate your content! :D I have never tried those make up sponges but there is one at H&M that comes in a clear plastic box with an animal drawn in the box (diferent animals, diferent colors) and it grows a lot and it's very soft. Kisses from Portugal :)
I freaking love you Jess!! Thank you for doing this video!!!
My new favorite brush is the angled blush brush by Ruby Kisses. Its so soft and I got it at CVS for $3 because I had a coupon, but its only $4. You can also get them on the Ruby Kisses website, but they are really cheap and I personally like them a bit more than the ELF Studio brushes
I was just thinking that I need to buy new brushes! Thank you for this video!
For eyes, try the Wet 'n Wild large fluffy blending brush! Perfect size, super soft, and keeps its shape after washing. And only $1!
Love you!! You are so sweet and really enjoyable to watch! I learn so much every time! Thanks 😊
Oh...I have to buy the Flower Beauty sponge!!! And I'm going to get the elf crease brush and the Mac eyeliner brush because maybe that will make the difference for me too!!!
Sarah Nicholson The flower beauty sponge is the best its so big and squishy.
Dancinfanz And purple, which is my favorite color!!!
Have you tried the essence eye liner brush? I find it too be the closest dupe to the Mac one
I love the elf crease brush too and was wondering if I was crazy since it's just so cheap! I've also been in the market for a new highlight brush and beauty blender, so I definitely want to try out the milani and flower beauty ones. :)
You should try the wet n' wild angles liner brush! It's super thin as We'll! 😁
Thoughts on filming a GRWM using these tools? 🙃
i love you, you always say all the truest things and basically read my mind haha
This may sound crazy but L.A. Color has a beauth blender as well and Oh My Gosh! It's so awesome and also expands out when wet like thw Flower Beauty one and it's only two bucks!!!
Dang! I just ordered a few new brushes last week. I wish I had waited for this vid! Thanks, anyway, Jessy!
now i need the l'oreal and flower beauty sponge. thanks jess lol
