I fucking love the reverb on every other snare hit, man. This track is heavy, for sure.
Dubstep is about wobble. Its basically a tone thats 'dubbed' through a controll to control the frequency response and cut off point of the wave form. The step is because the control usually looks like stairs or 'steps'. Its basically a modulation with drums that are put on off beats. Its been around since the 80's. Listen to old garage tracks and jungle, they too have heavy wobble dubstep basslines. Its just dubstep is mostly wobwobwobwob.

This track once came on while I was tripping LSD with a few mates. Hooked up to my old 50" Plasma tellie, this song blasted, and my mates were like: "Dude, you gotta turn that shit off" But I was too fucking scared, those stairs leading into my wall, and the growl of a beast. If I remember correctly, we actually listened through this fucking song, completely shocked and mindblown. Damn, some trippy shit.

It's true though, dubstep like this is usually fucking fantastic live. Such a dank fucking atmosphere in a club.
Dark dub is fucking unreal man. Even more so because when i do find the occasional underground show/party here in Detroit, its not a bunch of fuckin bros trying to grind on every ass they see.

Dubstep is more about the integration of multiple bass tracks, and experimentation with filters than it is about following typical music production techniques. It may seem simplistic, but I suggest attempting to create some form of music similar to it (via FLStudio or Ableton Live) to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the effort involved in producing a dubstep track. I'm personally not a fan of this variety, as the taste is acquired. I'd suggest Flux Pavillion/Nero/Pendulum to you.

Have you learnt what Dubstep is yet? 10 months is long enough to search the origin of Dubstep and realize that this is closer to original Dubstep than any Skrillex bullshit.

the dub is from the old Jamaican genre, 'dub reggae,' which emphasises bass and drums, plus the whole big fuck off soundsystem thing :p
