So... i've been doing this so wrong for so long. He doesn't wet the vermiculite at all. And I cover the plastic and drill holes on the side and top ;.; this is for my red foot. I'm so glad I found him. I really do love his tortoises videos more than anything. I enjoy all of them, but I'm glad that he came back to a tort video :)

Mooers needs a friend to play with this time of year. Most of the time they have a companion. If you really watch cows dairy and beef they almost always break off into groups. Cows are much more intelligent than people give them credit for.

When your cow gets more pushy and aggressive it's probably when she's in heat and wants to be bred. Rent a bull or get her AI'd by a vet.
Im pretty sure its calving season and I think breeding season is over

There are hormones that assert themselves regardless of what else is happening. Sure some breeds of herd animals roughly follow a climate related strict annual "season" but others do not. They just cycle through periodically. An individual apart from any herd - who knows what may be happening.

Vermiculite can have deadly levels of arsenic I lost several clutches of Burmese stars and radiated tortoise eggs because of this. I switched to pearlite/cocomulch mix and keep a close watch on the humidity inside my incubator.
