No, people have no problem with Hindu bhajan being sung/written by Muslims. You remember the song, "Har Har shambhu" song, it was sung by a muslim girl, and it was very well accepted. People only have problem with extrimists. The va de mataram song was sung and composed by ar rahman, and every Indian resonate with it. Kun faya kun and many more songs are favorite of many Hindus.

50 years ago I was a teenager living in Nigeria. When I watched the movie and listened to this song, I kept wishing that I had the resources to travel to India to meet this great man, Mohammed Rafi Sahab.
When he died in 1980, I shedded lots of tears. I regret not meeting him in person. Continue to rest in peace the greatest singer of all time.

Today I was sitting in mohd Rafi nite suhani raat programme. When someone suggested Shahid rafi sir [mohd Rafi son] to sing this song, he said that he will die by singing this song while in stage. High amount of breath have to take to sing this one. Mohd Rafi sir. U r great. 😍😘

Just for fact.Rafi sahab was very unwell while singing this song but despite of that he sang with immense intensity and passion he pushed himself to last bit of taar saptak (highest of three octaves) that his vocal cords began to bleed. He spitted blood and could not sing for 10 days.That was his passion passion for signing.
