The difference between what a new male signing and a female signing receives on the first day ‘ tour ‘ of London Colney is rather stark . The value spent on the player shouldn’t matter each player is a member of the Arsenal Family apparently so if that’s true then I think AFC have to up their game just a bit in this regard. Compare this video to any of the summer signings the men’s team made and the reception they received on their first day. I mean the driver of the V class that drops Krystal off doesn’t even drop her at the kerb lol . I’ve no idea who the female member of staff is that conducts the tour but it sure wasn’t Edu ! Don’t see the CEO anywhere either ! It’s great that Kyra is so laid back and just goes with the flow.

What are you talking about? Did you not see him lead us in a title race until the last day, to a champions league semi and to a trophy with the bare bones of his squad. Jonas and the girls worked miracles last year.

Once again Arsenal Ladies wasting money on mediocre foreign players instead of investing in local london girls. If Arsenal invested the money they make in academies that are actually in London like the men’s game, they would find far better talent they are importing. How can you be a club that produced Adams, Rocastle, Thomas, Kevin Campbell, Andy Cole Ashley Cole, Wilshere, Nelson, Balogun, Smith-Rowe and Saka and say with the women’s team we will no longer scout or develop young girls in London and just import mediocre players from Scandinavia or Australia. No wonder they flopped in the Champions League. London inner cities have more natural talent than all of Scandinavia and Australia combined, if you can be bothered to look.
It’s not an unfair observation but you do sound a tad bitter . All the players you listed are men . Maybe there isn’t the talent in the female game in the numbers that there is in the men’s. I do think given the smaller budget the ladies team has if there was such a player in the academy of indeed in London the club would prefer to sign them instead. Home grown is always a better option if it’s available.

Lauren James is one of the few black girls who got the opportunity to e in the academy system and she is better than ever Arsenal player, showing the talent Arsenal are missing out on by being lazy importing Scandinavians and Aussies for a lot of money, when their money could be used to find better players.
@@Delboy0 I’m reading between the lines due to a couple of typos in your reply ….given most of the teams in the WSL are part of Premier League clubs who between them have 43% of there squads drawn from black players be they home grown or imported.
Those clubs are both sports teams and businesses they want to win but they all have their own budgets in which to achieve this goal. Some like Arsenal have bigger budgets and bigger goals and more pressure to achieve success. To suggest Arsenal indeed any other WSL team would spend on ‘mediocrity’ rather than a home grown talent what ever the colour of that talent is just ridiculous.
To suggest there is a racial bias behind this decision is also ridiculous. I’m assuming you are actually a gooner given the rise of of Saka and indeed Nketiah both of whom came through our academy not forgetting Nelson who all happen to be black but they aren’t in the squad because of the colour of their skin they are there because of talent and character. Which makes it hard to understand your argument.
To win at the highest level you need to be among the best in talent, mentality and character which is extremely rare in any academy player .
As to your point that Lauren James is better than every Arsenal player I would agree she has talent but I could name a handful of Arsenal players I’d want in my team before her, given her injury record and questionable temperament. A successful team isn’t about having 11Messi’s on the team it’s about having having a blend of talent and hard workers which in my opinion Lauren James isn’t .

Your argument that not trying to scout or develop girls from London is bring Arsenal success, what success? Chelsea win all the domestic trophies and Arsenal have already been eliminated in the champions league not really a contender and to try and claim there is no black talent in England to justify no looking for local girls is so ridiculous when you look not only at the men’s game who focus on finding local players showing that world class players can be found locally, but also Chelsea women’s focus on local players more and are more successful, Lyon the most successful European team with the most champions league have dominated for 16 years because they scout and develop local non-white girls as well as having a few top foreign players. To me the WSL is like watching the NBA before they allowed the black players in. This Arsenal policy of not looking for local girls isn’t working.

Now to tackle the points you raised… inclusion and diversity apparently isn’t in your opinion something the Arsenal ladies team are to concerned with even though the people that own the club and run the club ( the board ) have overseen the rebuilding of a new men’s team that has 44% of its members from black or other ethnic backgrounds. To say what they do with the men’s team can not be used to justify what the board stands for is nonsense and it seems you only say so because you can’t get around the facts .
As to my ‘ argument’ as you put it that Arsenals failure to scout girls from around London isn’t working due to the unfortunate early exit from the CL this season is a tad obvious but sadly flawed. You need to reread what I said… Arsenal are a successful team they just aren’t yet winning trophies and academy players won’t make them winners. A proven player with international experience is far more likely to get them over the line than an untested academy player and you may call the new signings mediocre but they are all full internationals which suggests they are mediocre at all.
