  • AMP Chief Economist Shane Oliver says the decline in inflation from 2022 has seemed to have “stalled”.
    Mr Oliver told Sky News Australia that if upcoming inflation data is in line with the RBA’s expectations, it “won’t be a major problem”.
    The inflation figures for the June quarter are due out on Wednesday.

    Surely, it will be In Labor and RBA expectations to not increase the rate.
    But the truth is it is getting worse, that govt and RBA do not want to tell people. God Bless Australia

    Raise in august but cuts in September ,it’s like RBA treating us like dumb people,
    Power rebates and tax cuts encourage people to spend more so what’s the point
    One side it says spending power should come down on other side it’s encouraging to spend more
    RBA is in confuse state

I think he is under instructions as what to say. Maybe from the AMP board or like. You probably need to be a bit more careful who you interview.

    Why do they always attack demand when you get inflation. It seems like it would make sense to increase supply to meet the greater demand from more dollars chasing same amount of goods. 😮😮😮

    • @uberboiz
      @uberboiz 2 месяца назад

      Easier said than done, my friend. Unfortunately real life is more complicated than that - increasing the supply of goods/services is not as easy as flicking a switch, some requires a significant amount of additional investment and a long lead time.
