Eh I think when he leaned to heavily on Christian religious dogma & analogies is when Manly Hall was at his less insightful… For example, focusing on this principle of hierarchy & insisting that there must be all these hierarchical levels of spiritual entities between God/Brahman/whatever you want to call the All/the Absolute, & the lowest material phenomena… Why? Why is that easier to believe?.. He makes the analogy to a corporation… But a corporation isn’t run by an omniscient divinity that is within everything, transcendent of everything, & everything also exists within it… A corporation is run by human beings who are bound by space & time (not transcendent of them) & can only interact through human means, directly with other human beings… It’s our *limitations* as consciousnesses bound within physical bodies that causes us to have to work through intermediaries (& also that causes us to have historically formed unjust, exploitative, ego-directed social hierarchies at all- which are quite different from the hierarchies that exist within the rest of the natural world, & don’t actually have to exist, unlike the hierarchy of cells in the human body or other natural hierarchies like that).
If you believe in a panentheistic conception of God (as most of the mystical & esoteric spiritual traditions which people like Manly Hall & Alan Watts & so on teach about do), or really any kind of transcendent Spirit, then that divinity is not constrained by physical law, or by space & time, or that causal relationships that exist WITHIN spacetime… It is the SOURCE of all of those phenomena, & in a panentheistic paradigm, all of those phenomena exist within it, as parts of that one being. In other words, natural law (the mathematical laws of physics), space & time, the nature of life… All of this would be as it is because of the Divine… And everything which exists is immediately connected to that Divinity- to the extent of literally being an integral part of it… So the idea that for some reason God has to make all these managers to handle different things (as if God was a human being with a limited attention span, a limited amount of time, approaching existence like it was some kind of corporate job, or like an emperor ruling over an empire)… This is a very antiquated way of thinking that doesn’t really hold up to reason, even if you believe there is such a God. This is a very naively anthropomorphic conception, which transfers human limitations & flaws & egoic attitudes onto God… I can’t see this making sense. As a thought experiment it may be interesting to imagine, but I don’t think it’s a plausible description of reality. If God all omnipotent, omnipresent within all things & all of spacetime, then creating intermediaries between this part of God & that part of God is completely redundant… It’s like if the entire world was telepathically linked & we could all hear each other’s thoughts instantaneously, as one collective consciousness, but we insisted on training carried pigeons to slowly carry paper letters around… If you have perfect connectivity within the entire system, if it’s all One, then what does that system need with managers or messengers?
..why so serious? its just life!

Natural Law applies to more than just the physical; it applies to the aspects of consciousness and emotion as well. Project hatred upon another, even within thought, and feel it within. Express forgiveness, and feel that forgiveness.
Also, in order for God to be sovereign, they would also be bound by the laws they create while within the kingdom they created. Otherwise, they would NOT be a true sovereign.
