This will be interesting. I have a MA degree in Philosophy and I’m not sure what to do with it. This RUclips channel was very helpful when I needed to understand Kant’s belief in synthetic a priori which helped me to understand his philosophy of transcendental idealism.

Thanks! Glad the channel was helpful. Best of luck advocating for and "selling" your philosophy degree. :)

Thank you dear Carneades for this series. It was a brilliant idea to bring this topic to the channel. I believe we all should know how to sell ourselves and our beautiful career: Philosophy.

I graduated with a B.A. in philosophy in August 2021 and I've gotten absolutely no interest from employers in law, research, marketing, writing, editing, public policy, non-profits, or tech.
In my experience, at least in terms of getting a well paying job, a Bachelor's degree in philosophy is about as useful as having no degree and saying "I'm a great candidate, I promise!"
Employers in these positions want to see that you've specialized in that particular job for some time. Philosophy as a major is not particularly known for being specialized. My advice: double major with another major that's relevant to your employment goals, get a certificate in something relevant to your employment goals, master a skill on your own relevant to your employment goals, or go back to school all together for something relevant to your employment goals.

Lol. Same here. I got more value out of 6 months of Duolingo language studies than I did from my actual philosophy degree.

It is the domain of most of the very valuable yet poorly understood and fuzzily defined “soft skill” in the corporate world.

It is surprising that philosophy is not taught at a younger age. Not everyone uses hard science in their life, but everyone must make ethical decisions each day.

dude the video is good to listen but unbearable to watch, average person now attention span of 8 seconds, less than a gold fish. (the background doesn't change for 1-2 minutes).

Feel free to just listen, my videos have low production costs so that I can make as many of them as I do and spend my time doing philosophy not making graphics. If you are interested in some videos with more interesting animated elements, check out our second channel ExPhi that has the animated faces of philosophers to amuse your eyeballs :) ruclips.net/user/experimentalphilosophyexphi

So we should stop caring about what is right and wrong? We should stop studying whether certain types of government are good or bad? Should we stop calling out fallacious arguments and simply accept the arguments of the sophists? Seems like a poor choice for society.
