Loved UR episode!!,! So much comfort knitting,,,,My favorite,,,,!, Doing the owl cowl.,,,by Kay Jones,,,,free,,,, Also Christingle mingle cowl busy Kay Jones,,,, Round and round cowl by crazy sock lady,,,,, So many advent things to make,,,, Socks!! Love that tracey gave Kristy,,,,an advent!! My friend and I are doing an exchange this year,,,So excited,,,l Elaine 🏠🏡
I get such inspiration from you girls, your knits are beautiful, and you give so much information. The shawl you made like the Sophie Scarf is absolutely gorgeous, your handspun is is great, you really have knack for it. Oh, the baby romper was sooooo cute. You look like you have quite a number of years to be a Grandma. The advent box was wonderful, what a lovely gift. The Jelly Roll Blanket by Kay Jones is a really good scrappy blanket project for an advent. I ooed an awwed through the whole episode. Take care.
Oh what a lovely surprise at the beginning with the advent gifting! Thank you for including us in the surprise. I wanted to crack it open and dive in 🤣. I don’t buy advents but love watching others open theirs. I’m much too much of a yarn controller to invest $ in something I don’t know if I will like ☺️. That Stephen West shawl is beautiful and such a cool study in yellows & green. It’s so interesting that though your colours are related, the definition and contrasting is amazing.I love playing with colour but get stuck in colour themes (greens, teals, blues, purples) and it’s so fun to be reminded to venture out of my colour box. I’m typing while watching so add comments as you go. Love the look of the multi-coloured yarn cake for the one skein shawl. I’d want to just have it sitting where I could see it. The zigzag scarf reminds me so much of the afghans (blankets) my nan used to knit. She knit over 500 and gave them away or donated every single one! Such a lovely reminder of her so I might have to knit one. So generous that the pattern is free. I may just have to use thicker yarn and make a lap blanket. It would be great for a scrappy project. Thanks for another great episode!
That is so lovely of your Nan, all those beautiful blankets out in the world keeping others warm 😍 I love playing around with colours, sometimes it works, other times it dosnt but I have fun either way. Thanks so much for watching. 💕
I love this podcast Tracy and Kirstie how exciting to get an advent box aw love you two I love all your work so much talent It must be a great feeling of satisfaction and pride when your projects are complete they are amazing You inspire so many people and reading all the comments you should be so proud of yourselves as I am of you both x looking forward to your next podcast already xx
Oh you two take me to my happy place 😊 You're not precious about your yarn or patterns - just so relatable (is that a word!!!). You work so well together. I did the same as you Tracy, went on to Wool Warehouse!!! My granddaughter has just left home and asked me to make a crochet blanket for her so I got the Drops Flora in pale pink, blue and green and held a colour and off white together to make a huge granny square. She loves it! Thank you. 🤩
I LOVE Earthtones Girl sock series. I didn’t like the way the short row heel feels. So, Roxanne Richardson has a video Short Row Heels three different ways. One has provided a bit more room and now I love that heel. Love this podcast!!
So great to see you both again! Thank you Tracy for sharing with us your surprise box advent for Kirsty! Enjoy it, Kirsty! Beautiful work and projects as usual, ladies! (I recommend Rosemary “Romi” Hill for scrappy projects! She has a Scrappy KAL going on right now, and recently put together a bundle on Ravelry with several scrappy projects.)
Oh, the calendar made me well up! How lovely to have a yarny friend like that. I also love the sweater scarf thingy. I'm disabled and can't regulate my body temperature so get very hot. That would be ideal for me! Thanks both ☺
Tracy you have inspired me to make an advent for my daughter! Lord knows I have enough yarn. I love watching you both. I love Kirsty's sense of style and grace. You are both so kind and lovely. Until next time.
Thank you again for another great podcast ladies. As always loved everything you showed and chatted about. I was interested to hear Tracy that you had some issues with your knit pro zings, I have brought a few recently (from different places) and the quality of them has been poor as in the joins have been very bad and I have also noticed that the needle points have been very rough and not rounded off nicely both of which catch and split my stitches and yarn, which is really disappointing as I have always used them and enjoyed working with them. Be interesting if any other viewers have had any issues. Looking forward to your next podcast. Take care both Xxx
Another lovely podcast thank you, what a fabulous gift to Kirsty you are both so kind and thoughtful to each other. I bought the ADVENTurer scarf and wrap pattern by Ambah O'brien to use up advent yarn you may already have it. Haven't made it myself yet but just a suggestion for your yarny adverts, looking forward to the next episode......💞
Such another lovely podcast ladies, thank you. It was so lovely to see Kirsty receive the advent box. What a lovely thing to do Tracy and on camera too. x
Just found you girls and thank you for nourishing my soul. I'm trying to resist buying more yarn and stash shop instead so very grateful for your pattern suggestions. Currently knitting Borntrippy scarf by Beata Jezek which uses 100g of sock yarn and scraps in 2 row striped chevron pattern. I enjoy watching the interaction between the two of you. Best wishes, happy crafting. Judy, Nelson Bay, Australia
Why is it I spend money as a result of your podcast 😂 Last time it was a try of Birdstreet Yarns and today was the stitch dictionary (coming on Thursday 😁) thank you 😊😂. Another great podcast and fabulous makes x
Just the most wonderful time listening to you. I keep thinking I should keep a running commentary of things I want to say because by the end I forgot all about what I wanted to say. 😂 I spent a lot of time going "oh, look! Ooohhh..." So you know I have had a good time. Something I did remember was the bobbles - crochet bobbles are my favourite, after trying a few ways. How I do it now is similar to Andrea Mowry (she has a RUclips tutorial). You guys are awesome. 🥰
Hi lovelies fabulous podcast as always. Loving your finished projects and WIPS. Wonderful purchases too. I went and bought some yarn from adventures in yarncraft. I have finished my Whitmoor sweater and Stephen Wests MKal too. See you soon. Hugs xxx
Oh I end up with so many more patterns on my TBK list after watching you two! Last year I did the Wolop cowl out of one advent, Sea Waves out of a second and Land of Sweets by Helen Stewart out of the third. I’ll be following these comments as his year I only have one advent and no idea what to make with it.
It wasso fun hearing Tracy describe how she watched all the Steven West tutorials for Twist and Turns. I did the exact same !!! such Happy colours on the shawlography. Like a sunflower
Kirsty you should start writing knitting patterns. You are so creative and could easily write patterns for us all to knit. Love you guys and how well you interact with each other. Thank you for a very enjoyable episode. ❤️
Thanks so much Karen! 💕 I may give it a go at some point. It's the writing of the pattern and editing part that stops me. The coming up with ideas and knitting is what I love 🤗
I just love you guys! I was having a really bad day, so this just made me so happy. Your connection to each other is part of what I love so much. Like when Tracy surprised you with the Advent she made - so very thoughtful. Your knitting is lovely and so is your spinning! If you ever come to the US - I hope to meet you both!! Hugs from Texas!!
Lovely makes as usual. I’m working on The Fall Crochet Centerpiece (Stacked Pumpkins) by Lindsey Dale. It’s a free pattern on Ravelry. I haven’t crocheted in a while.
Thanks Denice! 😁 That sounds great would love to see when it's finished 😍 if you are on instagram please tag us or use the #woolandwishescommunity tag x
Hi girls! I loved your visit. I bought the twist and turns pattern and at first thought oh I don’t think I’ll make it but I actually like the shape of it after all because of how it sits across the back. I will take the slow approach as I find I don’t like pressure. Not sure when I will start as I am doing a few smaller projects right now.
Thanks for another lovely episode! Laura adventures in Yarncraft is the one with the pumpkins! I think she has knitted but it might be crochet too! Thanks for keeping me company during a long dye day ladies!
What a great episode. Loved seeing all the projects. I’ve been crocheting gnomes as a little break from knitting but ready to get back to some gift knitting as well as some me knitting. Hope you both have a great week.
This was the perfect video. I loved all of your knits, just beautiful.! I’m currently finishing up a few gift knits and then I’ll cast on my very first pullover sweater 😳. I hope I can be half as good of a knitter as the two of you 🥰🥰
Thanks ladies for another great episode. I’m loving all your makes your both beautiful knitters. Tracy what a lovely gift you gave Kirsty I loved the surprised look on her face. Would you like to be my sister in law too! 😊. 😂😂. 🧶🧶
Tracy lovingly made me a Yarn advent calender to open through December. There are little parcels inside to open everyday with mini skeins of yarn inside. I am so happy! Thanks for watching, Mia! 😁
Just found you girls : ) You are so lovely!! Soft spoken and so complementary of each other And I love your colorful FOs and WIPs : ) Oh, I just purchased a project bag from Curly Emma Embroidery : ) Looking forward to seeing you two again
Such a lovely episode! I just received my Yarn Advent Calendar from Leap of Faith yarns (All Creatures Great and Small) and one from Homespun House so I can totally relate to the excitement and anticipation that you had in crafting it and receiving it. Such a lovely gesture.
I had the same issue with my lantern moon needles and wrapped stitches (the Secret Skein cowl)! The stitches keep catching when I try and put them back on the needle, I've swapped out the cord for a Lykke cord to see if that fixes things!
Check out the Knitvent by Curious Handmade....So far so many cute patterns!! Just started on a cowl using scraps and various minis...But I can't wait to use my advent someone gifted me for the blanket she posted in it!!
I've started a hobby of making different patterns and colours on canvas or putting them in frames love to show to you is there a way to show them to you .
Hi Susan, yes that would be lovely! If you are on instagram you could tag us in your photo. Or if not you can email us. You can find that in the description box below our video 😁
