This performance was a surprise...and it was greatly needed. It made her stand out in a way that will keep her safe for at least the next round, and it showed people that she has amazing talent. Because she sang an Adele song and managed to do it justice, she's now very dangerous and one to watch for.
I grew up with her in mesquite. we were kids and learned from the same voice coach. we even did a duet together at the rodeo city music hall in mesquite. she's a great person and I wish she would have won.

CJ Trickey this girl is so beautiful inside and out. Her live performance made me cry and I got chills down my legs, arms spine. i wish I could find the live version now. Maybe it's because she lost her mother and gave it her all but I listened to the live version at least a hundred times. Its either a empty part of you soul music is meant to warm, sooth and find healing or because they're absolutely amazing singers...or both. 😉. You're not crazy 💋
Bring back the live versions to youtube, whoever came up with the idea of uploading these studio versions instead is just plain stupid. We tune in to a tv show, not a radio show. We show the live versions to friends to get them hooked up, not these studio versions with a picture, and without the emotion that a live version creates. The voice is flushing great marketing down the toilet. BRING BACK THE LIVE VERSIONS!!!!!
This version is so much less boring and more powerful than Adele's version, although Adele's version is smokier and headier, which makes it boring after a while.
I t hink you miss the point. it's a bond theme song and adele sings it the way it is supposed to be sung...it's called interpretation! If you remember correctly, Bond was burned out and taking cover...tired of all the crap coming at him. He saves M only to lose her to a nemesis who resurfaced. Adele's 'smokier and headier' interpretation is spot on. It reminds you of Bond drowning himself in sorry to escape everything coming at him.
