Hi neelam even we (tamil nadu) used to make the same type of sambhar but we used to boil dhal separately and veggies separately and we add both at the last we do add tamarind but we won't add jaggery, in karnataka they used to add jaggery..happy to see that u try South Indian food's as we try North Indian food...

I love idli sambar n being a South Indian it's our birth right😀 we generally prepare with urad n rice adding little poha.. n sambar looks absolutely south Indian style as tamarind juice n jaggery are the must ingredients.. you made rawa idli .. looks delicious n keep it going.. definitely going to try Gobi paratha n subscribed🤗
You are right, each place has its speciality, and that authenticity cannot be replicated. Even I miss maharashtrian authentic food and also yummy chat that I used to have in Pune my native, as I stay in Mangalore now after marriage, though I am a south indian, I love maharashtrian and north indian food more☺️ the recipe looks yum, I have just come home, from my office and drooling looking at the recipe🤤😜
