Akram Zaatari describes Hashem el Madani's "photography of the working class"

Artist Akram Zaatari, cofounder of the Arab Image Foundation, describes the work of one of his favorite photographers, Hashem el Madani, the first person to own a 35mm camera in Zaatari's native city of Saïda, in southern Lebanon.
