Well done umpires. Bangladeshi bowler intentionally tried to bowl the last two balls of the match wide. They were not defending runs, they were defending Kohli's century. Whereas, Virat took the chase close to the target and smashed at last when the target was closer. Kohli even in 2019 and 2023 world cups was scoring half centuries consistently. Today, the century will make Virat and all the cricket fans feel good.

I am from the Southern Part of India, till now i see the short videos of this channel and i am pleasantly happy with the way discussions have panned out. I do not understand some of the convo due to language barrier, but i get most of it. This program seems to be neutral not like other programs that i have seen in the past from Pakistan where disparity comments come off from some experience players, not sure why? And what Wasim Akram said in the end is right "people do not have anything in life talk crap". Love Wasim Akram and Waqar for their exceptional craft of bowling and not to forget Saqlain Mushtaq.
Actually we should congratulate the umpire for not giving the wide. That wide ball was a deliberate attempt to stop Kohli from getting to his well deserved century which was against the spirit of the game. The umpire certainly deserves applause for his intention of maintaining the sportsman spirit..

sir i am a umpire in minor county league in UK. actually, when the ball goes down leg side of the stump, if the movement is towards offside, then no matter what the ball has to be a WIDE ball. can u please check with the experts again and message/ comment. all experts here were talking about batsmen movement, which actually is a moot point in this situation. me thinks!!:)

I don't know whether people have forgotten the rule or what but wide is given on the basis of the batters orignal position. So had he stood there it would've gone on to it Kohli so it was anyways not a wide ball.

Umpire job is to bring fair play. Bowler bowled wide ball deliberately which was not fair, hence umpire did not call it as wide to keep it a fair play

Good decision by the Umpire. I think Umpire would have understood how the bowler was trying to stop King Kohli from making century. Kohli's response was equally good with a big six.
