There is a scene where she walks into the town square and thousands of coffins go by. She knows its the only way to distract nosferatu. Her husband Jonathan was infected by nosferatu and she knows killing him will save her husband. Although in the end van helsing stakes nosferatu and it is revealed Jonathan is a vampire. He then rides away. Probably to Venice to stare in the sequel vampire in Venice. Best to watch this. It is very different to the original.

I don't know how I feel about it as an exercise really, as the permission of the film maker and cast is tossed like chaff to the wind.
