I have been commenting everywhere about this. Marayam is the most protected prince out of all princes making him befitting to be Beyond's child. Because why would Beyond do so much planning for a child that can easily get wacked? Kurapika, the most intelligent protagonist, outrightly stated that he's protecting THE YOUNGER PRINCES. This means extra protection from Lord Kurapika. Absolutely nothing is touching Mayaram and Wobble. Nuff said.

At what point in this chain of events could Beyond have possibly been involved?

This will ultimately set up the final battle against the main protagonist, Kurapika, vs the main antagonist, Beyond, to conclude the dark continent arc. There'll be two factions, Kurapika faction and Beyond faction. If you look at the arc holistically, those are the two most influential figures. One already planned for years and is watching everything unfold in his favor, while another is watching everything unfold and planning to control the final outcome. I want to see which side the grey characters in this arc pick. We are already seeing some princes pick Kurapika. This arc is a chess match between two geniuses.
I think Tserriednich vs Kurapika, I don't know if the latter will be able to do anything directly to prevent bloodshed. The most likely scenario I see is that someone else does it, leveraging Kurapika's counseling.

Just one of the princes that got killed in the succession war designed for them to die in the first place. Maybe not dumb but they're not good critical thinkers. Zhang Lei says all of the solutions they come up with, he's already thought of and tossed out for being unlikely. It's more that none of them are smart enough to actually help Zhang Lei crack the code, so he's mostly working on his own despite their help.

I thought it was mentioned or implied somewhere that none of them knew about nen prior to the expedition. They could be above average intelligence but they only just learned about nen a couple days ago so i dont blame them for only coming up with basic assumptions/theories
