Many of these reps are surprisingly bad at "selling" their products - i.e. their pitches come across as too generic for insiders, and too technical for outsiders. The actual LoC videos do a much better job at explaining things - a useful reminder not to take their quality for granted!

Yes, there are a lot of parties. You have to remember the crypto industry isn't like other industries, people here aren't business people, we are degens. The parties are also great for networking. Crypto people don't like stuffy business suits, we're not tradfi! Some people do take it too far, but you know they paid to get to these conferences, they're having a good time, it doesn't bother me!
