So just played for about 40 minutes AFTER the patch. Let's see: Saw a stormtrooper stuck in a speeder bike on top of a tree. Was walking in front of crates stacked about 10 feet high and got knocked over by another stormtrooper on a speeder bike that flew over the crates and landed on my head. Used my grapple hook to climb a cliff, Kay just floated arms down motionless up the cliff with the rope attached to her head. Then fell to the ground when she reached the top. Found a cave entrance in an Imperial area, where I stayed for over 10 minutes with a pile of dead stormtrooopers I killed a few feet away. Every 25 seconds or so, a stormtrooper would say "There's a dead trooper here! Search the area!" over and over. They never found me, until I got so bored sitting there I went out and blasted them all. AAAA gaming in 2024.

I also recently played the Funko Fusion game, and I can say with 100% certainty that the game was not QA'd at release in any shape or form. It's just getting old. Take care.
The people who are frustrated aren't wrong. But, like Couch Coop here, I do see the amazing experience that's lurking behind some of the early game hurdles. The best advice I got when starting was to try to never allow your rep to go below "Good" with any faction. If it does, do easy contracts until it's back up. I found trying to stealth around the faction bases to be the most difficult/frustrating. The Empire missions were way more enjoyable for me. I'm not defending the state the game was released in. But, like Cyberpunk and, frankly, too many other big games, this one clearly wasn't done cooking before they released it.

The Reputation system is shallow. Why lock cosmetics,fast travel & traversal behind a reputation system? Why use a reputation system to force players to grind through side content to keep things balanced? That’s forcing players down a linear style of play & negating player freedom. Then the stealth mechanic (or lack there of) are trash & they force the player into stealth as well. Every game design choice is outdated in Star Wars Outlaws. You don’t ever feel like a true outlaw. The player is just being slowly dragged through a meh story in a game with severe pacing issues. The sad part is there is nothing Massive can do to fix this. Everything bad about the game is baked in.
I have to agree with you, I’m enjoying Star Wars Outlaws and Massive seem to be actively trying to improve the game and give players a better experience. I’ve been to Akiva and Tatooine now and they have done a great job with both - crazy that you can just fast travel between these massive environments. Nice to hear someone on this platform who isn’t afraid to say they actually enjoy this game.
Maybe you need glasses, cant you see the blue highlighted text on the left of your screen called NAVIGATOR?? So if you press L2, you can DIRECTLY TELEPORT to any landing zone WITHOUT zooming in and out.
I'm so glad to hear someone with the positivity that this game deserves, and calling out UBISOFT for their publishing, over pricing and content pulling. This game is great and I just wish and hope that we get TONS more content, in particular MORE planets and space areas, Please just keep adding Planets and all the content and story that goes with those.
Am I the only person who misses the days when a 7 out of 10 game didn’t make everyone lose their mind for months on end? People used to play a 7 out of 10 game, have an above average time, then move on. Now everyone expects every game to be 10 out of 10 and if it’s not they throw a tantrum.
I am going to install the game again later on PS5. Between Kijimi hyperspace crashing the game every time and other game breaking bugs, like crashing at a vendor on Mirogana for me I was getting. I had a green screen of death in Jabbas Palace that instantly powered off my console. Ubisoft were aware of problems and had an unprecedented level of player complaints over the issues. I have over 30 communications with Ubisoft. It was a broken mess. The game itself I was enjoying though outside of a few things. I felt and feel it needed and needs some improvement. I will find out after this update what's improved. It may have worked for some but there was game breaking issues and crashes for a lot of people. This was a birthday gift my mrs got for me as a star wars fan and I have not been able to enjoy it in full, which is a problem. It's not Cyberpunk Level problems but there have been problems. I respect that Ubisoft are working on it. My suggestions for improving the experience, which when it worked it had alot going for it was, improve Ai for enemies, which I believe they might have after the patch. The speeder chases when getting shot at from those on speeders, needed a manual fire added along with the dead eye like feature. Not being able to shoot when you want from the speeder takes fun out of it. I read somewhere they were mandated not to have it feel like GTA with the player on speeder riding around shooting everyone. All they need to do is disable it in towns and only allow the player to shoot manually whilst being chased or shot at from others on speeder and for enemies to be the only viable targets. I would also add alternative hair styles, Helmets for Kay, for further personalisation and style. They should also add a data pad somewhere that maybe explains Kay has a droid hand, they could say she was caught stealing and someone took her hand as a youngster. That way when she punches a helmeted trooper it would makes sense to the player, that a non force user can punch out someone with a helmet. What I did love was the underworld of Star Wars that was coming through. I loved Nix as a side kick and the game, outside of the initial unfair checkpoint on the strict stealth missions, where the player can't be caught and it instantly failed was really good. Maybe even possibly becoming my favourite Star Wars game. It was great to just play as every person in that universe. The cartels, the planets, sound design everything as a fan was on point. It was just issues with bugs, and silly things that were plaguing it. Thankfully the issues are not unfixable. Ubisoft seem committed to fixing it and making the best it can be. So long as they fulfill that then no problem. They need to learn lessons though and not put out a game in this state again. Even if it means delaying it.
why no helmet slot for Kay! this decision annoyed me (Mando set ect) Great points, sorry to hear about all your crashing, I only got to this game mid september, never saw the day 1 horrendous-ness ! Appreciate the comment
@@CouchCoop128 no worries mate. I tried it this evening and all is good so far. It runs and looks great. I uninstalled the full game and saves and started fresh. It's very atmospheric and there are lots of cool things to see. The game makes me feel like a tourist in Star Wars. Hopefully I get on better now. All the best.
You can also fast travel through reputation. Go to your reputation screen. Then pick a syndicate. Go to contract brokers.. the contracts you choose, through the syndicate you've chose. Will take you directly to the planet they are on.
Ubisoft Made Splinter Cell Series as well Splinter Cell Blacklist And Splinter Cell Double Agent 😭😭 I wish those games were re made or if they made another one ❤
if they was to add a new DLC planet full of content every six months or so I would buy every one of them, this game deserves the whole Star Wars universe to explore.
The patch still didn't get rid of exclamation marks on both quests and inventory, even though you checked all new ones. THEN it should disappear but no. This sucks!

I agree with much of the points in the video. As a customer though we have the right to complain when it is broken. It was very broken for me and I have emails from Ubisoft confirming to me that they had an unprecedented level of issues and that they were working on the issues, but couldn't put a timeframe on it. Then to be fair I have seen today the patch has dropped. So it is good that they acknowledged it and did something which some companies don't. As a game though from when I had it working for periods of time, it was overall really enjoyable, albeit there were things I would like to see improved a little. I also think the online obsession with taking sides in identity politics and those with an axe to grind are using the game to offload onto. It doesn't reinvent the wheel and Ubisoft have gotten a bit cookie cutter in some ways, but as a Star Wars fan there is also alot to love and enjoy.

Those in my discord that are playing it are loving it, and their screenshot are stunning. I'm sure Ubi will have this ironed out in no time. Look at the steaming pile of excrement that was AC Unity. It's a great entry in the series now. People buying and playing Ubisoft open world games and complaining they have Ubi open world traits. That's some next level stupid in my books.
@CouchCoop128 no luck. I've never reused so don't know what their problem was. Deleted over 1000 videos that's aren't like my current content, and that wete old and pretty crap. Hopefully, when I'm allowed to reapply at the end of December, it will be accepted. If not it will be a new channel job and probably a different approach and type of content. I did a bit of digging and a lot of long for channels that then hae 1 single short go viral and get a lot of growth off of it have been kicked from the program since shorts became a thing. So I'll probably stay away from them in future or dedicate a shorts channel, as I use them for my TikTok. Mans all about the socials 🤣
@CouchCoop128 in general with gaming, I think these days. Especially now that more and more players are getting dissatisfied with poor launches. It's very rare that I pick up a game at launch, and GamePass is a great demo service, in my opinion. I was looking forward to Flintlock, and that looked cool. But man, that's baaaaaaaaaad!! That was an instant uninstall after about 20 minutes.
man I'm sorry to hear about all that, I got hacked if it's any consolation, only got things back running because knew a friend who knew a friend at google, i had a tiktok it went mental for the first couple of days, then just stopped for months, fuc them kids 🤣 Flintlock i nearly uninstalled also, but got some fighting going and a decent gun etc, its like the outlaws thing, my brain now automatically just blurs out the main character and i skip all non essential dialogue, like immediately !!! As said before, we're in the ruin...also on a content front aswell.....AND there be treasure big guy (in a sort pirate accent), keep at it please and inform me of the new channel if that happens

It’s still clunky, it’s a two button combo & it should be one but they had to add the useless nyx in the game. He’s really not needed. Everything he can do Kay can do.
@@stellarhyme3 you think? I use the multi distraction perk and it helps get around the pairs that patrol around. Also disabling alarms from afar with nix is clutch.
For me it just was not gripping enough, felt flat. Hard to describe it. But I would have loved if they had given it really a good / evil gamechanging possibility. Where you can be a real evil outlaw up to a real goody two-shoes. Maybe simmilar to the System from Mass Effect. For me the Star Wars universe just screems that you want to have your adventure and have a caracter playing anywhere on the line between jedi=good and sith=evil. And even if you do not have jedi powers it could have easily given you simmilar choices and at the end be the baddest outlaw in the galaxy. I have to admit that I have not finished outlaws. But from everything I have seen so far you cannot do that here. And I have found no reason to play it a second time after finishing it once. That is if I manage to finish it once, at the moment I do not feel the urge. And yes, I admit that I would have liked it, if Kay would be a bit more pleasant to the eye.

We’ll get the promised dlc & a few updates but they can’t fix the game from top to bottom & that’s what it needs. Ubisoft has wasted a few 100 million on this game. They’re not gonna waste more. Massive was the wrong studio for Avatar & Star Wars. They need to stick to The Division.

to this day I don't fully get the cyberpunk argument... I installed the latest AMD driver day 1 and played trough the whole game in 3 days... Yes there were some bugs but it was far from broken...
On console, that bit were you gotta meet that guy at the bottom of a hotel. He didn’t spawn in and stopped the dialogue. It took them a while to fix. The PC launch of that game is a whole different chat
I didnt mind Star Wars Outlaws I found it an enjoyable game (highlight Tatooine). It maybe not the same league as Red Dead Redemption but few games have even come close Being a old git with 50 some years of gaming (Pong being my first game) Ive never known the gaming community being so toxic and sink games as it does today. Star Wars Outlaws is not perfect but doesnt deserve the vitriol

I read a few months ago there was meant to be further planned story dlc but got canned due to poor sales. It's not good. Limited guns, sneaking issues that restart the level to do the SAME thing over and over and over and boring story with half hearted effort put into it. Its just lame and it's not open world nor is it fun.
Great game. Amazing detail. Definitely in the top 5 best Star Wars games ever, number 1 or 2 for me personally and no game immerses me in a world that looks and feels like Star Wars better than this game.
The 2 reasons why this game got so much hate and low sales are: - woke trash Acolyte being last star wars entry combined with the game having female protagonist. People were automatically expecting it's gonna be the same woke trash as Acolyte - IGN gameplay preview video on some broken version of the game where it looked like some leaked forgotten star wars project from 2015. AC shadows will share the same fate because of: - releasing gameplay footage with laggy animations and obvious glitches like sword sticking through sheath etc - controversial black samurai MC who might have not been a samurai at all because there are barely any historical records - misusing several japanese symbols in a disrespectful way (hitoshima tori gate, religious objects, ...)

Don’t blame Ubisoft for a bad game. The game is bad in its overall design & structure. The choices the devs made made the game bad & not fun to play. They’ll never be able to fix that. Massive set the release date & they said the game was done & it was fun. The game was complete. There were no one saying it was a buggy mess or unplayable. The game was just not fun. Why because Massive is the same team that made The Division & Avatar. Those games suffer the same problem as Outlaws, they’re nice to look at but not great to play. Massive isn’t a great studio. They get more wrong than right with their games. Ubisoft been funding mediocrity. This is two meh games in a row for Massive & both times Ubisoft paid millions, giving them more time & they still failed to deliver.
Nope, they needed a better Studio to do the game. Is Avatar fun? Nope. Is The Division huge like Fortnite & COD? Nope. Massive have never made a game that sold like hotcakes & Ubisoft made the mistake of giving them two of the most popular IP’s in history & they made two meh experiences.
Ubisoft owns Massive Entertainment so Star Wars Outlaws is a Ubisoft product & it’s really bad across the board. Gameplay is clunky, planet to space is just cutscenes & loading screens like Starfield. The reputation system sucks. The stealth is bad. Player freedom is limited. Space is dull. The Gunplay is bad & it’s a hassle hopping from planet to planet so inorganically trying to compete missions. The same things Starfield was called out for is in this game.

@@CouchCoop128 I found it to be a mess to play & a slog during the repetitive stealth section where you can’t raise the alarm but the stealth options & mechanics suck. Massive have done what they always do, they created a visually stunning game ( like Avatar) but the skimped on the gameplay & fun factor. So while it’s not a total disaster, they got the visuals right but they got everything else wrong & that’s the problem with the game in my opinion. It’s nice to look at but not fun to play. Avatar had the same problem.
to be fair, the Witcher 3 has a lot of cookie cutter content also. A good part of the contracts are "go there, use your witcher senses, kill something/someone"
that whole comment was hugely tongue in cheek. I think in hindsight my memory of witcher side quests was that they were huge and involved unique characters ....the Baron comes to mind
@@CouchCoop128 gotcha, Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk are the best games ever 😂 (people tend to forget the early glitches and bugs). I do like most of the side stories of the Witcher 3 but I've started to get bored halfway through and focused on the main story.

howdy partner! So I have had the game on xbox series x from day one, actually I was the idiot who pre ordered it and played 3 days early. So here is a breakdown of my thoughts of the game; What Ubi does rightl is that the game feels authentically ike Star Wars. Emmersion is great, so many detaills. I think Kay fits nicely into the world and if we were back in the 80's, could have even seemlessly been in the original trilogy. I really enjoyed the main missions, they were cinematic and really feel fresh after slogging away with contracts and stealing raider/empire gear. Also, I love Savaar. Now here are my main criticisms. While I like Nix, Kay needs another person or even that droid to traverse the world with. She basically talks to herself the whole time which gets annoying. Outside of that, controlling that speeder at low speeds is honestly horrible. And when paths narrow, I never really feel confident on the back of it. Tattoine is the only planet I was able to enjoy it which I thnk says it all. My last little gripe will be for the cooldown/reload mechanic, you instictively press the trigger when the line at the optimal zone, but it fires a shot everytime. I have come to learn you can use the right bumper (R1) ubstead which avoids it, but that annoys me which brings me to my conclusion. From a gameplay standpoint, massive have "borrowed" many mechanics fom other games. Some to good effect, like flying the ship is straight from Battlefront 2015, even down to the rectible the shows where you lead your fire, as well as the reload/cooldown mechanic. Stealth is pulled from The Last of Us, the climbing and swinging from Uncharted. This inherintly isnt bad, but when it isnt implemented as well as the games they come from, that rubs me the wrong way. So my conclysion is that I have enjoyed my time with the game. It isnt perfect, but it is way better than what people have said about it. I would give it a 7/10. Very good but not quite great. I do not want Ubi to go under, I want them to come back. I want them to stop pandering. I want them to grow a set and give us the fun we have been asking for. Please ubi, gimme Rainbow Six Vegas 3! Gimme a proper Gjhost Recon game, and I CANNOT WAIT for the remake of Splinter Cell. Please ubi do not go bust!

I'm really enjoying the game. Got to the point of no return in the main story and backed away to do more side quests, so the game must be doing something right.

60 hors in and i love it, very enjoyable, i hope one day on it we can go to Endor and Hoth and many other locations through empire strikes back and return of the jedi. there has been alot of unfair over the top reviews bullshiting about this game. thers alot of improvments a things that can add to this game which will make it top notch .
that 'galaxy' map looks to be a lot larger than what they have put in location wise, I think Endor and Hoth will come, Hoth would be awesome, sledge speeder adapters! appreciate the comment
the character and her speeder just don't do it for me, so ugly. the NPC's look more appealing. Her blaster is so weak looking, yet it shoots like an E-Web. Everything else looks beautiful. Player creation option would have been so much better. There are more things that push me away then draw me to it. critics aside. just being honest.
Are you seriously trying to compare this to Cyberpunk which actually was trying to break new ground in the open world space on antiquated hardware?. Even on PC Starwars Outlaws is a 2 legged dog that should have been put out of it’s misery even before release. The graphics are worse than EA’s first Battlefront game for a start and somehow water animation especially running through water is worse than games on PS2. How do you defend morally bankrupt companies? Not going to defend CDPR but at least they had a game with a foundation worth saving where as outlaws was doomed to failure from the moment the trailer was shown.

@@CouchCoop128 The Reputation system sucks, it limits traversal, locks fast travel & makes the planets a chore to traverse. They tied this failure to a stealth system that doesn’t work due to limited options for the player. They made leveling ur skills up into a chore. The space section doesn’t feel like open space, it’s tacked on & boring. The game design leads to pacing issues in the game. The gunplay isn’t great either. The npc AI is dumb. Many of Kay’s animations have bad transitions. There’s nothing smooth in the game. The story is meh & interacting with the cartels isn’t great. Everything is so linear. You’d think your interactions with the cartels would change in a more in depth way as Kay works for them but it’s all very shallow. If you want a Star Wars game that feels like Star Wars play Jedi Survivor. That game makes you feel like you’re in Star Wars & it’s actually fun to play.

Then the stealth mechanic (or lack there of) are trash & they force the player into stealth as well. Every game design choice is outdated in Star Wars Outlaws. You don’t ever feel like a true outlaw. The player is just being slowly dragged through a meh story in a game with severe pacing issues. The sad part is there is nothing Massive can do to fix this. Everything bad about the game is baked in.
I have to agree with you, I’m enjoying Star Wars Outlaws and Massive seem to be actively trying to improve the game and give players a better experience. I’ve been to Akiva and Tatooine now and they have done a great job with both - crazy that you can just fast travel between these massive environments. Nice to hear someone on this platform who isn’t afraid to say they actually enjoy this game.

Am I the only person who misses the days when a 7 out of 10 game didn’t make everyone lose their mind for months on end? People used to play a 7 out of 10 game, have an above average time, then move on. Now everyone expects every game to be 10 out of 10 and if it’s not they throw a tantrum.

I am going to install the game again later on PS5. Between Kijimi hyperspace crashing the game every time and other game breaking bugs, like crashing at a vendor on Mirogana for me I was getting. I had a green screen of death in Jabbas Palace that instantly powered off my console. Ubisoft were aware of problems and had an unprecedented level of player complaints over the issues. I have over 30 communications with Ubisoft. It was a broken mess. The game itself I was enjoying though outside of a few things. I felt and feel it needed and needs some improvement. I will find out after this update what's improved. It may have worked for some but there was game breaking issues and crashes for a lot of people.
This was a birthday gift my mrs got for me as a star wars fan and I have not been able to enjoy it in full, which is a problem. It's not Cyberpunk Level problems but there have been problems.
I respect that Ubisoft are working on it.
My suggestions for improving the experience, which when it worked it had alot going for it was, improve Ai for enemies, which I believe they might have after the patch. The speeder chases when getting shot at from those on speeders, needed a manual fire added along with the dead eye like feature. Not being able to shoot when you want from the speeder takes fun out of it.
I read somewhere they were mandated not to have it feel like GTA with the player on speeder riding around shooting everyone. All they need to do is disable it in towns and only allow the player to shoot manually whilst being chased or shot at from others on speeder and for enemies to be the only viable targets.
I would also add alternative hair styles, Helmets for Kay, for further personalisation and style.
They should also add a data pad somewhere that maybe explains Kay has a droid hand, they could say she was caught stealing and someone took her hand as a youngster. That way when she punches a helmeted trooper it would makes sense to the player, that a non force user can punch out someone with a helmet.
What I did love was the underworld of Star Wars that was coming through. I loved Nix as a side kick and the game, outside of the initial unfair checkpoint on the strict stealth missions, where the player can't be caught and it instantly failed was really good. Maybe even possibly becoming my favourite Star Wars game. It was great to just play as every person in that universe. The cartels, the planets, sound design everything as a fan was on point.
It was just issues with bugs, and silly things that were plaguing it. Thankfully the issues are not unfixable. Ubisoft seem committed to fixing it and making the best it can be. So long as they fulfill that then no problem. They need to learn lessons though and not put out a game in this state again. Even if it means delaying it.

It's very atmospheric and there are lots of cool things to see. The game makes me feel like a tourist in Star Wars. Hopefully I get on better now. All the best.

Go to your reputation screen. Then pick a syndicate. Go to contract brokers.. the contracts you choose, through the syndicate you've chose. Will take you directly to the planet they are on.

I agree with much of the points in the video. As a customer though we have the right to complain when it is broken. It was very broken for me and I have emails from Ubisoft confirming to me that they had an unprecedented level of issues and that they were working on the issues, but couldn't put a timeframe on it. Then to be fair I have seen today the patch has dropped. So it is good that they acknowledged it and did something which some companies don't.
As a game though from when I had it working for periods of time, it was overall really enjoyable, albeit there were things I would like to see improved a little.
I also think the online obsession with taking sides in identity politics and those with an axe to grind are using the game to offload onto. It doesn't reinvent the wheel and Ubisoft have gotten a bit cookie cutter in some ways, but as a Star Wars fan there is also alot to love and enjoy.

@CouchCoop128 no luck. I've never reused so don't know what their problem was. Deleted over 1000 videos that's aren't like my current content, and that wete old and pretty crap. Hopefully, when I'm allowed to reapply at the end of December, it will be accepted. If not it will be a new channel job and probably a different approach and type of content.
I did a bit of digging and a lot of long for channels that then hae 1 single short go viral and get a lot of growth off of it have been kicked from the program since shorts became a thing. So I'll probably stay away from them in future or dedicate a shorts channel, as I use them for my TikTok. Mans all about the socials 🤣
@CouchCoop128 in general with gaming, I think these days. Especially now that more and more players are getting dissatisfied with poor launches. It's very rare that I pick up a game at launch, and GamePass is a great demo service, in my opinion. I was looking forward to Flintlock, and that looked cool. But man, that's baaaaaaaaaad!! That was an instant uninstall after about 20 minutes.

Flintlock i nearly uninstalled also, but got some fighting going and a decent gun etc, its like the outlaws thing, my brain now automatically just blurs out the main character and i skip all non essential dialogue, like immediately !!! For me it just was not gripping enough, felt flat. Hard to describe it.
But I would have loved if they had given it really a good / evil gamechanging possibility. Where you can be a real evil outlaw up to a real goody two-shoes. Maybe simmilar to the System from Mass Effect. For me the Star Wars universe just screems that you want to have your adventure and have a caracter playing anywhere on the line between jedi=good and sith=evil. And even if you do not have jedi powers it could have easily given you simmilar choices and at the end be the baddest outlaw in the galaxy.
I have to admit that I have not finished outlaws. But from everything I have seen so far you cannot do that here. And I have found no reason to play it a second time after finishing it once. That is if I manage to finish it once, at the moment I do not feel the urge. And yes, I admit that I would have liked it, if Kay would be a bit more pleasant to the eye.

It's not good. Limited guns, sneaking issues that restart the level to do the SAME thing over and over and over and boring story with half hearted effort put into it. Its just lame and it's not open world nor is it fun.

The 2 reasons why this game got so much hate and low sales are:
- woke trash Acolyte being last star wars entry combined with the game having female protagonist. People were automatically expecting it's gonna be the same woke trash as Acolyte
- IGN gameplay preview video on some broken version of the game where it looked like some leaked forgotten star wars project from 2015.
AC shadows will share the same fate because of:
- releasing gameplay footage with laggy animations and obvious glitches like sword sticking through sheath etc
- controversial black samurai MC who might have not been a samurai at all because there are barely any historical records
- misusing several japanese symbols in a disrespectful way (hitoshima tori gate, religious objects, ...)
I loved the game, i already finished it 100% so this kind of updates makes me mad cause this should have been how it works at launch. Not gonna play the game a second time. Anyways, i did enjoy the game, so i would recommend it to everyone, but not at full price, i pair 39$ for it so i wasnt as mad

Don’t blame Ubisoft for a bad game. The game is bad in its overall design & structure. The choices the devs made made the game bad & not fun to play. They’ll never be able to fix that. Massive set the release date & they said the game was done & it was fun. The game was complete. There were no one saying it was a buggy mess or unplayable. The game was just not fun. Why because Massive is the same team that made The Division & Avatar. Those games suffer the same problem as Outlaws, they’re nice to look at but not great to play. Massive isn’t a great studio. They get more wrong than right with their games. Ubisoft been funding mediocrity. This is two meh games in a row for Massive & both times Ubisoft paid millions, giving them more time & they still failed to deliver.

Nope, they needed a better Studio to do the game. Is Avatar fun? Nope. Is The Division huge like Fortnite & COD? Nope. Massive have never made a game that sold like hotcakes & Ubisoft made the mistake of giving them two of the most popular IP’s in history & they made two meh experiences.
Ubisoft owns Massive Entertainment so Star Wars Outlaws is a Ubisoft product & it’s really bad across the board. Gameplay is clunky, planet to space is just cutscenes & loading screens like Starfield. The reputation system sucks. The stealth is bad. Player freedom is limited. Space is dull. The Gunplay is bad & it’s a hassle hopping from planet to planet so inorganically trying to compete missions. The same things Starfield was called out for is in this game.

@@CouchCoop128 I found it to be a mess to play & a slog during the repetitive stealth section where you can’t raise the alarm but the stealth options & mechanics suck. Massive have done what they always do, they created a visually stunning game ( like Avatar) but the skimped on the gameplay & fun factor. So while it’s not a total disaster, they got the visuals right but they got everything else wrong & that’s the problem with the game in my opinion. It’s nice to look at but not fun to play. Avatar had the same problem.
to be fair, the Witcher 3 has a lot of cookie cutter content also. A good part of the contracts are "go there, use your witcher senses, kill something/someone"
that whole comment was hugely tongue in cheek. I think in hindsight my memory of witcher side quests was that they were huge and involved unique characters ....the Baron comes to mind

howdy partner! So I have had the game on xbox series x from day one, actually I was the idiot who pre ordered it and played 3 days early.
So here is a breakdown of my thoughts of the game;
What Ubi does rightl is that the game feels authentically ike Star Wars. Emmersion is great, so many detaills. I think Kay fits nicely into the world and if we were back in the 80's, could have even seemlessly been in the original trilogy. I really enjoyed the main missions, they were cinematic and really feel fresh after slogging away with contracts and stealing raider/empire gear. Also, I love Savaar.
Now here are my main criticisms. While I like Nix, Kay needs another person or even that droid to traverse the world with. She basically talks to herself the whole time which gets annoying. Outside of that, controlling that speeder at low speeds is honestly horrible. And when paths narrow, I never really feel confident on the back of it. Tattoine is the only planet I was able to enjoy it which I thnk says it all. My last little gripe will be for the cooldown/reload mechanic, you instictively press the trigger when the line at the optimal zone, but it fires a shot everytime. I have come to learn you can use the right bumper (R1) ubstead which avoids it, but that annoys me which brings me to my conclusion.
From a gameplay standpoint, massive have "borrowed" many mechanics fom other games. Some to good effect, like flying the ship is straight from Battlefront 2015, even down to the rectible the shows where you lead your fire, as well as the reload/cooldown mechanic. Stealth is pulled from The Last of Us, the climbing and swinging from Uncharted. This inherintly isnt bad, but when it isnt implemented as well as the games they come from, that rubs me the wrong way.
So my conclysion is that I have enjoyed my time with the game. It isnt perfect, but it is way better than what people have said about it. I would give it a 7/10. Very good but not quite great. I do not want Ubi to go under, I want them to come back. I want them to stop pandering. I want them to grow a set and give us the fun we have been asking for. Please ubi, gimme Rainbow Six Vegas 3! Gimme a proper Gjhost Recon game, and I CANNOT WAIT for the remake of Splinter Cell. Please ubi do not go bust!

the character and her speeder just don't do it for me, so ugly. the NPC's look more appealing. Her blaster is so weak looking, yet it shoots like an E-Web. Everything else looks beautiful. Player creation option would have been so much better. There are more things that push me away then draw me to it. critics aside. just being honest.

Even on PC Starwars Outlaws is a 2 legged dog that should have been put out of it’s misery even before release.

@@CouchCoop128 The Reputation system sucks, it limits traversal, locks fast travel & makes the planets a chore to traverse. They tied this failure to a stealth system that doesn’t work due to limited options for the player. They made leveling ur skills up into a chore. The space section doesn’t feel like open space, it’s tacked on & boring. The game design leads to pacing issues in the game. The gunplay isn’t great either. The npc AI is dumb. Many of Kay’s animations have bad transitions. There’s nothing smooth in the game. The story is meh & interacting with the cartels isn’t great. Everything is so linear. You’d think your interactions with the cartels would change in a more in depth way as Kay works for them but it’s all very shallow. If you want a Star Wars game that feels like Star Wars play Jedi Survivor. That game makes you feel like you’re in Star Wars & it’s actually fun to play.
I refuse to play this game until i can mod this ugly woman of a protagonist.
