I've just got set up with 2 turntables and a DJM450 mixer. My goodness mixing vinyl is so hard, but so worth it. I thought I appreciated sets like this before - but now having tried, failed, and tried again to mix vinyl, I truly appreciate the talent that goes into just one smooth transition, let alone an entire set of them!

Christer Johansson I actually use a controller with my computer (4decks) which is then plugged into channel 1 on my mixer with a turntable on channel 2 so I can spin vinyl with the new digital only songs 👌 It’s a whole different art form to sync up vinyl than to hit “sync” in a program and have a computer instantly do it for u

As DJ theres nothing worse than your sleeve hitting the platter accidentally messing up your mix. Guess the rolled up sleeves are more practical than fashion.
Amelie is amazing (saw her live on Apgrade in Belgrade and I got hooked up, one of the most amazing sets and she was for me the best set on the night even thow she played after Papa Sven Vath) but I gotta love the cat being a cat:P he didnt move even when she need a new vinyl hahaha. Is great to see some new blood at techno and it's so refreshing that after 20 years listening techno there are still new DJs that show up and deliver the goods and make me love and renew my strenghts to keep partying hard in the dancefloor:)
As i can see u dont understand the concept of techno, u just see a cute face of model and nothing else. Amelie wasnt work hard for future music industry, she has no talent at all, using drammcode machine for all of performance. This experience just show me again and again that becoming a DJ is very easy nowadays.

I love old school djing and I think vinyl sessions are an irreplaceable art form. But I would never discredit contemporary djs as a whole. While it may not take the same amount of skill and finesse, I think it has allowed for some truly inventive mixes that wouldn't be possible otherwise. I believe they can coexist :)

Que diferencia es un set con vinilos. Aqui es donde se conoce el Dj. Los sets que le he escuchado a Amelie en los CDJ son dinamicos, parejos, no sientes los cambios ni cortes entre los tracks.... Parecen casi perfectos. Pero aqui escucho otra Dj... mezla muy rapido los tracks, casi no duran los 2 arriba, de se le acaban los tracks y la equalizacion entre un track y otro es muy marcado a mi forma de ver... Definitivamente los cdjs son jugetes que hacen la vida mas facil al Dj, Las turntables son las que desvelan de que madera están hechos

Que diferencia es un set con vinilos. Aqui es donde se conoce el Dj. Los sets que le he escuchado a Amelie en los CDJ son dinamicos, parejos, no sientes los cambios ni cortes entre los tracks.... Parecen casi perfectos. Pero aqui escucho otra Dj... mezla muy rapido los tracks, casi no duran los 2 arriba, de se le acaban los tracks y la equalizacion entre un track y otro es muy marcado a mi forma de ver... Definitivamente los cdjs son jugetes que hacen la vida mas facil al Dj, Las turntables son las que desvelan de que madera están hechos
Y son tracks de 7-8 min...
