It's sad that the level of clipping and low sub frequencies sound good on a good system at the club but ruin a recording.. if he didnt had to be squashing the signal to sound as loud as he wants, it would've been better. The clipping should be happening outside the mixer, not in the channels and master, so it doesnt compromise the recording. It was the club who didnt want him to be loud, forcing him to crank the volume up.
