    Understanding Context: The key method emphasized for learning Arabic is to understand new vocabulary within context rather than relying on translations. This involves creating sentences that help convey the meaning of words, which enhances retention and comprehension.
    Teacher Guidance: Learning with the help of a teacher is crucial to ensure correct pronunciation, grammar, and usage. Incorrect learning can lead to fossilization, where incorrect information becomes hard to unlearn.
    Practice and Repetition: Consistent practice and repetition of sentences containing new vocabulary are essential. This helps reinforce the meaning and usage of words, making them easier to recall.
    Gradual Transition: Start with English-Arabic dictionaries like Hans Wehr and then gradually move to Arabic-Arabic dictionaries for deeper understanding and more advanced learning. This transition helps learners think and understand directly in Arabic.
    Cultural and Religious Context: Understanding Arabic in its cultural and religious context, especially through the Quran, Hadith, and classical Arabic poetry, is emphasized as a way to deeply connect with the language and its rich heritage. This connection enhances the overall learning experience and appreciation of the language.

    Out of curiosity, do you happen to struggle with understanding secular material in Arabic (news, non religious books etc)? I'm asking because one thing I keep noticing is that you have brothers who understand everything they read in islamic books and when listening to a scholar, but when they listen to the news, they only understand around 50%.

    • @abu-7854
      @abu-7854 Год назад +9

      Maybe because they learned Arabic to understand the quraan and the sunnah and not the news 😅

    • @cryptoProcharts
      @cryptoProcharts Год назад +3

      I think it has to do with the trends and latest happenings, and they could derive the words to from other cultures outside Arab culture.
      Hence the dua for helping one from knowledge that isn't beneficial.
      And world is moving fast, fast to where? To oblivion.

    • @ahmedjav6507
      @ahmedjav6507 10 месяцев назад +2

      That doesn't make sense because the news uses modern standard Arabic which is basically Fusha, and everything is very formal most of the time so I don't understand how someone would only understand 50 percent

    This is true.
    Theres a method from my school.
    First by memorizing Matn Ajurum(متن الاجورومية) and wazn (متن البناء).
    Then start to study the explaination of these two books.
    After we have a very solid grammar, the we started to learn Fiqh books and Tafsir Quran.
    It is a very slow process, I took almost 5 years to be able to read any arabic books.
    And I still cant speak arabic.

      متن البناء for verbs.
      I dont know much about modern books.
      For vocabulary, i used قاموس المحيط too, but mostly i got it from my teacher. Hes translating syarah hadith, syarah and hashiah of fiqh books, and from tafsir Quran.
