That delfino square race might be one of the most brutal races I’ve seen in terms of purely outlining everyone but just getting railed… wasn’t luck to have that lead, but oh boy did they decide to drag you down
I know you choose which gp type to have based on fun but I hope you know that 400cc is one of my favorite types to watch. Great to unwind with it after watching the entire 10 day 150 saga
I would love to see a 400cc magicruiser KO! You could take every single shortcut shroomless it’d be so fun Edit: seeing what dicey said, a super competitive 150cc magicruiser (or even super blooper haha) KO would be awesome!

Wait how does the drift stat actually work then. Cuz I used Waluigi Flame Runner and King Boo Flame Runner and it felt like waluigi flame runner turned way tighter than king boo flame runner.
It feels like there really should be a better way of tiebreaking by now. If it were possible to code into the game, I’d use total elapsed time across all races per racer to determine tiebreaks. Not difficult to calculate and doesn’t require a new race.

Funky Kong and King Boo have the same offroad bonus, and since the threshold to maintain a drift is based on a percentage of top speed, Funky's speed bonus doesn't matter either. If one can maintain a drift through the offroad, the other can too. However, the deceleration rate in offroad is not percentage-based, so Funky with his greater absolute difference between drift threshold and top speed can maintain a drift slightly longer in the offroad than King Boo, but it still cancels pretty quickly.
it turns out Funky Kong has the off-road *handling* bonus (as opposed to off-road *speed* ) which King Boo does not, so I guess that's the difference maker when it comes to drifting through the off-road on high speed modes. Even Dry Bowser doesn't have it surprisingly, despite having a higher off-road *speed* bonus than any other heavyweight character. Waluigi, Bowser, and the Mii also have an off-road *handling* bonus albeit only half as much as that of Funky Kong. I didn't quite know how that worked until I looked up all the stats.
how about a 400cc knockout but with the mod that gives the spear max stats? i think it was called platinum spear? probably wrong on that, it's been a long time since you covered the mod.
Is it possible to make an overtuned handling mod? I noticed that max handling can be a detriment if ut not used to it, almost as bad as too much speed :3

I really like the tie break system it means that every race matters and uppens the stakes. I especially find it better than the old one, because tie breaks influencing the first race of the next gp seems meh. The only solution I see for a fair one on one tie break is having them race one lap on luigis circuit

Based on the handling of the Spear on 400cc, the easiest track to conquer is DK Summit especially cuz it’s a halfpipe paradise to front-run everybody!
