Nerves and the desire to get early strikes meant Yusei left a couple hanging over the middle of the plate in the first inning, but he was excellent after that.

Kikuchi is an ace. I'm a yankee fan and saw him dominate during the yankee home opener. I like his style wish the yankees picked him up. Really good move by the astros
It's amusing to see the people who doubted Kikuchi joining the Astros doing a complete about-face now.😂
A lot of people (me included) had no issue with Kikuchi joining the team, it was what Dana Brown spent to get him that upset people. Kikuchi will be a very good addition and Brown would be a very good subtraction.

I believe Kikuchi is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Not a hot take, I've been a fan of his for awhile. Needs to minimize his walks tho.
Diaz is a pretty good player for the Stros.

Well, we gave up a lot to get Kikuchi, but I suppose it was necessary to get the deal done. Brown is a better GM than many fans give him credit for.

Bum calls was a big blow and one of the reasons for our loss and a couple errors as well. I have high hopes come next season for the rays. Just gotta shake it off and move on to the next game.
That ump was terrible.. calls went both ways though.
There were several horrible calls on the Astros' batters. Several balls were called "strikes", and if those had been called correctly, it could've allowed them to do more damage than the 9 hits they got in this game.
