I just invested in one 2 months ago and I love it. In tight spaces it's the best.
I have had one a couple of years. I must have put 30 tubes of all kinds of caulk through it. It’s a great bit of kit, and still going strong. I wouldn’t go back to an old one.
I had to use an old junk gun to do my kitchen and I think the gun you're highlighting is worth the money. It's not 100 percent dripless but the one I had to use would leave a lot of caulking even after I pulled the plunger back, I guess it was from the built up pressure in the tube..good video..

I usually end up using mine with small partial tubes in it. You can easily cut the tubes off once they’re mostly used up with a pvc cutter and then the entire gun becomes super small and nice. Especially around behind toilets or under cabinet areas. Great video guy!

This isn’t relevant to this video. I’m a carpenter trying to learn how to finish drywall. Im drywalling the underside of the rafters of a stick framed hip roof. I’m struggling with the off angles on the ceiling where they hit a flat ceiling and wall, and also where the slipped ceilings come together at the ridge. Do you have any relevant videos or tips out?

I have had one for about 6 months great gun doesn’t drip at all when caulking trim . I just can’t find anymore glad you are on with it maybe u will a wee that question.

Mine broke internally before the tube was used up. it might be because i was using a paper tube instead of a plastic, the cutter might not have been able to cut the paper and it was to much pressure, but a metal piece came out, I thought it was made well until this happened.

How long does the grit tabe inside the gun last before you need a new gun?
Just found out there is a thing such as a Siligun. And I came here first to get a professional opinion.
I think 💭 it is a very good design as compared to the other longer & bulkier caulking gun(s), although it might have issues or flaws etc 😕🥺🤦🏻♂️

Wife bought it for Liquid Nail Construction Glue.
It Absolutely Must Show on the box it is NOT for cardboard tubes.
It DOESN’T and yes it’s going back.
So, the wife next bought a plastic tube construction glue which would not work with the siligun either.
Maybe the cardboard tube glue ruined the blade??? 🤔.
Either way it did go back to ACE Hardware and replaced with a metal normal style dispenser.

My in laws Mobil home double wide was built in 1989, is it likely or not likely there is asbestos in the popcorn ceiling ?

I Usually do rotate
I'm a DIY / hobbyist but now I'm faced with having to "trim out" a round "port hole" in a sheetrock wall. Haven't cut the hole yet so it could be sized to 3-4 inches if here is such a thing available as a really low profile escutcheon available to use. There will be a camera on the other side of the hole and is the reason for a hole. The hole will be about 9-11 feet above the floor so won't be subject to lots of abuse but i'd like to keep it as good looking as possible since it's in a church. The camera is so we can "Zoom" the services to homebound parishioners.
I've considered just soaking the raw edge with glue or joint compound and sanding it and then painting it. I'd prefer an escutcheon because I think it would be "cleaner" What do you suggest?

Can the blade inside be replaced? There's a handful of 1 star reviews for this on Amazon of it being inconsistent/not working after some light usage.
Not sure on that. But caulking guns are notoriously unreliable
I don't know the $6 yellow caulking gun at Sherwin-Williams is pretty reliable even with heavy use. In fifteen years I've only had like three break

It's not very good with cardboard tubes. As we all know cardboard tears up blades. This is something that they should probably work on along with being able to rotate

Let's be honest though anybody that has caulked for a living a caulk gun is an extension of your hand, sure you could probably make this thing work but most guys have their favorite caulk gun and to run a nice smooth bead without tools or your fingers, well that's not what you were doing on that chalkboard.
If it splits the end of the tube as you use it doesn't that destroy the caulk inside the tube because of the gigantic hole that allows air to get inside the tube? What if I want to save the caulk for later use?

The only real problem i can see is not being able to rotate the tube itself. This is the only reason I haven't bought one
Why would you Want to rotate it. I DON’T want it to rotate.
@@ThatKiltedGuyDIY sometimes getting that angel just right, you need to rotate the tube to match your tip cut. I know it can be worked around but I turn my tubes quite often to match angels I need at certain areas and it's just too awkward on my wrist. I'm not knocking the tool. It's just easier to be able to turn the tube to match any and all angels with your cut tip.
This is a very good point I have been doing finish work for 15 years and is often that I need to rotate my tube to match an angle.

wonder if you have a sure way of getting rids of flies.
Outdoors, Golden Malrin works great at killing live hatched flies. You can find it at a farm and ranch supply. We used to use it when we had 15 head of cattle in pens, and 4 horses. It would kills hundreds a day right in the barrel lid we put it in.

I don't believe that's the way it should be done. you have know how to use your knives. but sometimes I have to use my pole sander. I'm not criticizing any one.this contract said he doesn't sand. well I have to just kind of up and a few time, is this okay.
