Since it’s so breathable does it not do a great job of blocking wind?

It does a reasonable job of blocking wind, though certainly not as effective as a heavy 2.5 or 3 layer waterproof.
Breathability doesn’t *directly* prevent windproof-ness, though. Breathability is mainly to do with how effectively water vapour moves from the inside to the outside of the jacket, preventing the build-up of moisture on the inside. Wind-proofing is more about how much cold air penetrates the jacket and therefore cools you by convective cooling.
I don’t know enough about fabric technologies to say with absolute certainty the extent to which you can have one but not the other, but my personal experience is that you can have surprisingly windproof jackets that are also very breathable, and vice-versa.

Hey, how has the jacket held up to washing? Does that effect the waterproofing?

Hey Lee. No issues so far after a couple of washes, but it is important to use a technical washing product and not regular detergent as they tend to prevent the DWR from working.
As long as you do that, occasional washing will actually help to maintain the waterproofing.
