As a smart girl and a topper, i can feel Denise's pain. I really do care about my friends, tbh some of them text me the day before exams asking me for notes but i always send to them what they asked for. My mom, aunt and whole family were so concerned thinking that all my friends were doing was disturbing me, but i guess they'll never understand.
I can understand Parents now a days care's more about marks than their own children, they fail to realize that In this world You need skills to survive not just perfect marks everyday, No job will hire you right away just by seeing your marks they will also see your skills. Theory: Denise's parents kept fighting and fighting since she was young. When Denise started going to school, she used school/studying as a distraction from the fighting of her parents, that's why in the much older videos, Denise was so early to enter in zoom classes and kept going to school everyday before it even opened, she is so excited for school, keeps studying everyday. When Denise's parents finally divorced, Her mother had custody over Denise (that's why we can't see her father). Denise's mother saw Denise's grades and decided that she could use Denise's intelligence to show off to her aunties, uncles, and even her ex-husband. So she pressured Denise that she could have perfect grades. Then, Denise started to lose motivation for school because it felt more of a "chore" now. That's maybe why she isn't that much willing to study anymore... This may just be me overthinking but I don't know TwT Edit: I saw some other details in the other videos (also thank you for the likes) -Types of people at school lunch When the food fight starts, Denise covers her ears because it was very loud, she probably got flashbacks from the fighting of her parents. -Types of people in Squid Game Denise was afraid of the "gun shots", it might probably be because of the sounds and she couldn't even cover her ears because she couldn't move. But Denise's example gives us message that parents should not put too much pressure on their children instead they should be supportive to their children in exam time because these is the time when children are under extreme pressure and they need someone's support. They've done what they did to Titan Academy to more businesses and schools. Deep inside, there is a secret resistance, the Olympians. (Get it, titan and olympians) Their aim is to dissolve the Organization completely. They compose of the people opressed by the Organization. They're divided into three divisions: Soldiers, Spies, and Messengers. Soldiers are to protect the Olympians and are good at martial arts. Spies are, you guessed it, spies. They infiltrate the Organization and figure out their next moves. Messengers pass messages from the higher-ups to every member. The higher-ups, are in control of the Olympians. One for the Soldiers, the Spies, and the Messengers. And one person who command the higher-ups. Tasha is a Messenger who knew about the Organization early on and passed the message to the other Olympians in the class. Kevin is a Spy sucking up to Regna and Mr. Organization-Who-I-Forgot-His-Name. There's more to it but this is already too long.

I was a top student of my high school that I even got a conditional offer from Cambridge. I can tell u a pretty dark history of mine about ‘perfection’. There was once I scored full marks in multiple tests in physics and chemistry back in year 10 and since then everyone expected me to score full mark in every of the test, expect me to be a genius in everything that every time the teacher asked a difficult question in class they just looked at me to seek for help in hints. I’m the kind of student who enjoys studying science and always look up more than my year of contents. But the more it was going the more all these perfectionism was affecting me. I was blaming myself hard in lesson if I didn’t get a question correctly and somehow when the classmates said oh gosh even me don’t know but prob the fact is just my brain was stuck for a moment and it wasn’t that hard. I blamed myself not prepared enough and not in good condition for lessons. I could vividly rmb a test I could only score 24.5/25 in chemistry and then the whole class was super duper shocked and cuz I got wrong with something a bit careless. I remember I was extremely under pressure that time with all those perfectionist loops around me that eventually I got diagnosed with anxiety disorder and got multiple suicide attempts. Now I’m getting better with my anxiety and perfectionism tho they’re still with me. What I want to tell is that it is impossible to score perfectly every time and do everything perfectly- we are humans we are not machines. You can strive for the best, or strive for perfection as an aim for yourself, but it is not necessary to demand perfection from yourself every time. For real, a few careless mistakes do not really hurt. I’m not someone who is always very careful as well. It doesn’t always mean a person who scored 95 must be worse than a 96. Absolute marks are not meant to be taken seriously when the difficulty varies across papers and conditions vary a lot as well. As long as u perform consistently above a certain standard, it would be fine. We have variations in exam scores as it’s impossible to get ur conditions well every time. A full mark is not purely a reflection of your ability, it also needs quite some luck, good conditions, normal exam papers, etc. Forcing one to score full every time is really putting unnecessary stress on him/her. It’s my truthful thoughts after getting through all those experiences.

The scene with Denise’s mom was sad but really well done. This explains why she gets full marks every time, but also why this has caused a lot of problems for her; namely her anxiety about her grades and her struggles with her social life.

I have a theory: Denise’s mom is actually the main head of the organization and she put the rule that if you don’t not pass you exam then you are expelled as her mom knows about her friends and about there marks history with failing, so they get expelled and Denise is around a smart environment, and so Denise studies hard so she doesn’t get expelled and her mom feel happier
but it’s so heartbreaking for Denise’s part
My theory :
Denise doesnt get full marks and her mother sends her to boarding school, there she meets up with cleverly and while the organisation thinks they are safe since the smartest people are out the way, denise and cleverly team up and gets rid of the organisation
Also the students who are expelled try to help too

I was a top student of my high school that I even got a conditional offer from Cambridge. I can tell u a pretty dark history of mine about ‘perfection’. There was once I scored full marks in multiple tests in physics and chemistry back in year 10 and since then everyone expected me to score full mark in every of the test, expect me to be a genius in everything that every time the teacher asked a difficult question in class they just looked at me to seek for help in hints. I’m the kind of student who enjoys studying science and always look up more than my year of contents. But the more it was going the more all these perfectionism was affecting me. I was blaming myself hard in lesson if I didn’t get a question correctly and somehow when the classmates said oh gosh even me don’t know but prob the fact is just my brain was stuck for a moment and it wasn’t that hard. I blamed myself not prepared enough and not in good condition for lessons. I could vividly rmb a test I could only score 24.5/25 in chemistry and then the whole class was super duper shocked and cuz I got wrong with something a bit careless. I remember I was extremely under pressure that time with all those perfectionist loops around me that eventually I got diagnosed with anxiety disorder and got multiple suicide attempts.
Now I’m getting better with my anxiety and perfectionism tho they’re still with me. What I want to tell is that it is impossible to score perfectly every time and do everything perfectly- we are humans we are not machines. You can strive for the best, or strive for perfection as an aim for yourself, but it is not necessary to demand perfection from yourself every time. For real, a few careless mistakes do not really hurt. I’m not someone who is always very careful as well. It doesn’t always mean a person who scored 95 must be worse than a 96. Absolute marks are not meant to be taken seriously when the difficulty varies across papers and conditions vary a lot as well. As long as u perform consistently above a certain standard, it would be fine. We have variations in exam scores as it’s impossible to get ur conditions well every time. A full mark is not purely a reflection of your ability, it also needs quite some luck, good conditions, normal exam papers, etc. Forcing one to score full every time is really putting unnecessary stress on him/her. It’s my truthful thoughts after getting through all those experiences.

Theory: Denise has an abusive mother that forces her to study hard to be successful (kinda like a connection to jianhaos mom).
