Millions of these most excellent rifles have been made and sold under all sorts of brand names, Greyhound, Artemis, SMK, Snowpeak, Diana, Stoeger, Mrod, Spa, Stinger, Airmax, Victory etc etc mine are both accurate and consistent around 11.5 ft pound with 15.89 g pellets. The OE mags are not to good but you can get good quality after market printed mags for them.
The mags that come with these are terrible the 3d printed are great but you got to get high scope mounts to use them. The rails the only thing don’t like about it.
Picked up a second hand Gen 2 for my son to move him up from a Co2 crosman 1077 plinker. Its light, easy to use and really accurate - it gives him confidence in his ability and enables me to teach him how to improve without worrying about flyers and other issues. I dont think you can pick up an s400 worth looking at for less than £600 tbh but thats down here in Essex. For me this little SMK is a fantastic affordable starter gun and personally i really like the safety on these. I didnt buy the kit so bought an HW silencer for him - its incredibly quiet.. anyway im going on a bit now - i short i like the gun 😂
@@norfolkairguns I do keep my eye out for them tbh as I turned down a great condition one for £395 some months ago and regretted it late lol - there's a reasonable difference in people's expectations of second hand gear around here compared to North Essex/Suffolk/Norfolk second hand prices in say Colchester are a fair bit less than down here Southend way
Nice tight groups there. Do you think the pr 900 accuracy issues have now been sorted with this gen 2 model? Would have been nice to see chrono results re velocity and ft lbs power. Keep up the good work cheers
I normally put a chronograph test in but I’ve broken my LMBR and waiting in a new FX mk2 to arrive, I shall make a short of the chrono test when it arrives for you so keep a eye out for that short clip
You should remove any thing at the end of a barrel weather it he a silencer, muzzle flash/ air stripper of the end of a rifle before Chronographing as it give a false reading
Is Snow Peak the same company as SMK and Artemis or are the separate? My Diana bandit is made by Snow Peak as is my Umarex Notos. Maybe they are all made by Snow Peak with someone else's brand on them... This Gun looks a lot like a Diana Storm Rider to me. Is it the same? This gun has that Snow Peak look.
All these air rifles are manufactured in China at the Snowpeak Airgun Factory (SPA). But depending on the requirements of the local supplier (in the UK this is SMK) or trademark owner, they can be customized and supplied under different names. There are both “own” private Chinese brands (Artemis, SPK, Snowpeak) and local ones (SMK Victory, Onix, -FOX-, ZR Arms, Diana (lol!) ). Depending on the wishes of the supplier/trademark owner, changes can be made to the base design (different stock (example - stoeger), regulator, silencer, different transfer port diameter to limit power, different packaging box design, etc.) and list of supplied accessories. But I repeat, it is all produced by the same large contract manufacturer.
Hello my friend, Thank you for spending your time for our benefit with your review. It doesn't look a bad pcp air rifle. For a few more pounds and have an Air Arms S400 instead, is a no-brainer to me. I would save hard and sacrifice as you'd be getting and enjoying so much more in every department with an S400. Just no comparison. Thank you.
@@norfolkairguns thanks for the reply. I have a 3.9x40 scope on mine and shoot at 20 yards but I find it goes blurry if I zoom in past 3 mag which is annoying. I'm thinking of getting a 4x32 as I hope it would give me more mag?
Yea where you getting an air arms s400 for 200 quid from show us !! 😮😮 coz I got one 350 second hand keens 8 years ago.!! It must be in a right state for 200 quid !! .
Nice classic looking stock. I like that it has a normal safety.
Yer it is as nice to shoot and I do prefer a push safety over the auto ones or switch infront of the trigger as well

Correct look at the B2 rifle that comes under many banners I have a few of them all on different brands

My first pcp i had been toying with the idea of a gen 2 but love my fx tf12 and my wallet says no more.

Genuinely I’ve always sold my Airguns off at 2/3 the price of a new one or what every I have paid for it so if I pay £300 I’ll sell for £200 etc
Sold ill buy it if your selling.

I have the gen 1 I think I don’t no what it is but I fitted a good silencer it definitely drops the power.

Thank you.
It’s a good rifle but it’s built as a starter rifle I’m guessing as is very basic but nice to shoot none the less
Would not have put the Spitfires as the best group before hand.
👍
Definitely not but the new design shockingly dose good in a fare few rifles I have both spring and pcp
Hi mate nice review. What range were you shooting and what scope do you have?
Thanks that was 25 yards that what my garden range is at the moment, and it’s a unbranded scope

Hi
A 4x32 is the size of the scope so 4 x magnification and 32 is the size of the objective lens so that would be 32mm lens
How far did you set the targets for your test shots?
Target was out at 30 yards
Scope Name
Believe it was a unbranded scope that they Airguns owner had
@@norfolkairguns What did I say What did you say Your mind is crazy
Of you read above is says what you said, you asked about the scope name
@@norfolkairguns You know that I asked the name of the scope and you did not answer
If you look I did there bud if you look at the messages, but I shall say again, it’s a unbranded scope that the owner of the Airguns had
Would the law allow the aiming of it at kids?
No they should not be aimed at anyone adult or child

As I said “ you can get a s400 for not much more “ I have seen them around for around £300-400 mark
