The most hilarious thing about both The Geddup Noise and Chairscoot is that Strong Bad is able to make both those sounds on carpet rather than hardwood floors/tile.
This was the newest email on the site when I first found it in middle school. I was so confused about them making this entire thing about a stool sound effect, like there was some joke I was missing, so I went and watched everything else on the site to try and figure out if this sound effect was a recurring bit that someone was asking about. I thought the Geddup Noise was like, a real character who had been in older cartoons. And that's how my sense of humor was morphed forever!
Considering how Strong Bad's room is carpeted and wouldn't logically make that sound when he gets up off the stool, it makes sense that the Geddup Noise is actually some kind of being that exists seperate from a actual sound effect that would fit better.
Holy crap, Club Technochocolate's song during SBCGfAP Episode 2 was actually "The Get Up Noise"? Wow, I didn't even know that, considering that I couldn't understand the one lyric line in said song throughout the whole game.
There is an alpine resort in France called Les Coches. There is a mountain range in California called Las Coches, but I don't think it accommodates skiing or snowboarding.

Always thought it was interesting that the geddup noise doesn't elicit the same number of questions as "how does a strong bad type with boxing gloves on?" being that strong bad's stool is sitting on a carpet and there shouldn't be a chair scoot noise to begin with. Illuminati confirmed
