This tutorial is so so so good. If you can learn all this, you have mastered alot of the fundamentals in poi. The drilling exercises are the key thing. Thanks for posting it for free. It's a great advertisment for your wonderful Patreon tutorial series (which of course includes Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced moves explained so well in detail by Votja). Well worth it. For me Fire mode / Split time Opps reels, weaves, moves are advanced in my book due to the amount of time and effort required to learn and to do right! But as a result they are so so rewarding....... eventually 😅💪
I love the way this looks. Very beautiful space too. However, i have been doing poi for 4 years, and this was over my head. I think it would have helped me if it was a little slower instruction. I appreciate the learning opportunity though. Thank you for the video.
This tutorial is suitable for those who have strong basics with 4-petal antispin, and stuff like crossers. There are useful pre-requisites on my Patreon, as well as many simpler tutorials, if you're interested. Patreon.com/vojtapoi .
This is amazing. Difficult like whoa, but so much fun to try and learn. Probs gonna take me another month or 2 to get these down and clean, but I’m already learning so much about how to re-wire my flow and it’s 🤯. One question: Why is the 3-P-AntiS vs 2-B-Weave so much harder than the 4-P-AntiS vs 3-B-Weave? I finally got the 3-P-AS vs 2-B-W (somewhat) down, and started the 4-P-AS vs 3-B-W, and the latter is *way* more intuitive. Is it just because I’ve already done the hard work of 3-P-AS vs 2-B-W, or does 4-P-AS vs 3-B-W just more flow more easily?
I would to attend your retreat but at the moment I'll stay home and practice but may I ask what kind of practice poi are you using? Thank you for your reply.
At 6.42 with the 2 beats - the same move can be done also by alternating the crossed arms when going from left to right. (instead of keeping the arms in the same crosser) Is there any difference ? (the beats and timing feel exactly the same)
This tutorial is lit af. Great way of breaking down and trying together a lot of elements I've been wanting for a long time. Thank you
