I'm not a 'music guy'. I don't know the difference between pace, beat and tempo. I couldn't tell you what sheet music means to save my life.
I do know a few things though, like where there is smoke, there is fire... and y'all are smokin up that studio somethin wonderful. Amazing music, even if I can only appreciate it as a layman.
I have listened to this going on 500 times already... such a great chart, Joshua. Love the quick smile Nora throws in when Maynard Ferguson range notes are coming from Joshua's lips. Everyone is just great, Josh and Daro have great solos, great sax choir interlude, and Nora, Ben, and Adrian keep it driving.

This tune just grabbed me; there's something triumphant but tinged with melancholy about it - it's structured well enough to withstand different instrumentation, but it suits the voices of the horns so well. Sublime.
