This podcast is the most healthy representation of black men out! Instead of spending time arguing, complaining and bashing women, they are focused on growth, uplifting, healthy conversation and evolving. We need more of this but of course people are only drawn to negativity. Wishing more success to y’all and keep thriving!

You guys deliberately and intentionally raise the bar e-v-e-r-y single time! You’ll be surprised how much we all have in common as black men first and foremost. Thank you all for creating a space to bridge the gap between gay and straight men. It is needed! I hope that this becomes a domino effect.

This is one of the BEST Straight/Gay conversation I've ever seen. I can't believe that I just came upon this 2 year old video. I didn't want the conversation to end. I would like to know if you guys got together again on a later time?

LOVE this! I love when heterosexual BLACK men actually sit down and have that conversation with us, and vice versa. I’m definitely checking out more videos on this channel. ✊🏾🤎✨

    Okay 3 things…
    1. I am lowkey impressed because no other cis gender heterosexual male podcast has done this and probably won’t do this. This is SO important.
    2. This absolutely needs a part two and i would challenge y’all to have on more flamboyant gay men and also gay men who are not well connected and rich. Not saying the men that were on didn’t face challenges obviously but they do have certain privileges because of their status and money.
    3. So i can’t remember if someone said this but i have heard this MANY MANY times from gay black men. Black male barbershops are NOT a safe space for YOUNG gay boys. Mostly because they hear very violent and hostile rhetoric constantly about being gay so i can’t imagine how it feels to be 5 or 7 or 10 heating how much you aren’t accepted or how much you’re hated. Jalon being a barbershop owner I’m sure is cognizant of this but it’s never too late to make sure places that you’re opening for business are a safe haven for everyone 💜

Grew up in s Christian household *pentecostal to be exact* and I’m glad my parents never let us disrespect anyone and had us around people from all different types of lifestyles. My Father (straight man) respected everyone and treated everyone the same, gay or straight. Glad other straight men are learning you can go exist. You can not understand and disagree but still love coexist and respect each other. Good podcast. 👏🏽

❤️This was such a great episode and very necessary in our current climate. We need these type of discussions in order to fully bring the black community together. So much of homophobia and transphobia is based out lack of knowledge. Stereotypes and misconceptions on both ends as caused unnecessary division for way too long!

Definitely a truly needed discussion. Appreciated the geniuneness and openess, which at times is not always true. As a gay black man, who grew up in the south and the church, it was nice to see the diversity of men on stage. Its just great seen the culture come together and uplift each other across all specturms.

I didn't catch his name but the guy with the Howard hoodie, he really hit a point that people need to understand. He said he knew he was gay but hadn't had sex with a man so he didn't really think he was. To me that says gay ppl are born that way. I'm straight but that resonates with me bc before I had sex with a boy, I knew i was straight!!!! We are all beings, let us be!

I am doing my final paper on the spectrum of masculinity and I'm a fan of the three guests on this episode, so I had to watch. This was such a great discussion and I wish there was more time for more dialogue because it is much needed. Some of the points made were very eye opening and will drive home some of my topic points, so I will be using parts of the discussion in my paper. I hope this leads to more conversations people beyond your podcast.

When I say you three fellas are changing the world, I mean it in the best way possible. I haven’t even watched the episode yet I am blown away at where you’re willing to go and how you are opening up a dialogue and changing the culture in a way that just might help save us all. I didn’t even “do” podcasts before I began watching this one and in a short couple of months, I’ve cleaned up my credit (nearly 100 points in 30 days and that’s because you led me to the Dead Ass Podcast that then led to The Budgetnista..), started an LLC (again due to you guys opening up me to the world of podcasts which led me to Gary Vee’s daily podcast- need I say more?), bought an RV and quit my job to pursue my passions 24/7. All I can say is thank you, thank you, 🙏🏾
P.S. VVI’s save me when I’m in a tight and Chanel is how I found any of you in the first place on IG! So much love to the First Ladies! 🥰😘

Loved this convo! It’s natural for us as humans to be judgmental. The complexities of the world are so vast that we should not close our minds off to concepts we do not identify with regarding sexuality & gender. If we cannot show love and respect then the problem is with ourselves.

Excellent work. This should be a series to discuss spaces where everyone should be comfortable as who they are: The barbershop, destination restaurants for couples celebrating romance, the workplace, etc.
We stand to benefit from a series that sets the stage to know each other's history.
    Keep up the great work.

This conversation was healthy and productive. I commend all the men on the panel. But….. People say they support the lgbtq community until it’s TIME to support the community. Until we’re on your tv screens playing your favorite characters. Until we’re college professors educating your children. Until we’re invited to your favorite rappers parties. Until we take up space that heterosexual people feel entitled to own and should be off limits. It becomes a problem because being in the same space with us, forces you to confront your own homophobia. Asking us to be less of ourselves in order to make society feel comfortable. The gap between straight and gay men won’t be bridged until you can accept and RESPECT the community in PUBLIC and in private. Until you see us as people and not characters. Until you use your platform to protest and March for trans women and gay men being killed the same way that the lgbtq community Marches for ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER. Until you realize that our lives should be valued. Until you realize that we’re BLACK and GAY SIMULTANEOUSLY and understand our struggle and our plight. Until your willing to grow and evolve as men so that your ignorance and bigotry doesn’t breed more ignorance and bigotry into the next generation. When THAT conversation happens then we can TALK. Until then I don’t see any white flags being waved or peace treaties being signed.

This was a dope convo,I feel as a straight men or women we need to stop using their sexuality to bash straight men,I moreso see women do it,If you look at someone like A Kevin Samuel's women dont like what he has to say so they call him gay as a shaming/bashing tactic, which is corny and also says alot about how you feel about gay men if your willing to use their sexuality to bash a straight man or a man that you have no evidence to be gay but since you dont agree with him its "oh hes gay" it's quite childish actually and ignorant!
