Tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us. My Dad (69 yrs old) died unexpectedly in July 2019. What I would give for just another minute with him. You can be responsible and still take care of your loved ones and be around them. There is nothing more healing, in my opinion, than loving on your family. I refuse to allow my loved ones to be lonely around the holidays unless that is their choice. The government will not tell me who I can and cannot be around.

Thank you for your videos throughout the year ... they always put a smile on my face. It's been a hard year for me too. Both my parents passed away within months of each other at the start of the year. I lost my job and Melbourne Australia was in a hard lockdown for months which gave me too much time to think. I'm trying to focus on the things I'm grateful for now but its hard to stay positive sometimes.Thanks again for your vids and hope you have a lovely Xmas xxx

You are so fortunate that your grandchildren can live on the same street with you. And more than they realize they are the fortunate ones living within easy reach of each other and of you and your husband. My grandchildren are experiencing this in another country and I tell my husband often when they are older they will have so many stories to tell and so many things to tell their children and grandchildren about living through this pandemic as children & all of the the numerous times schools closed then reopened all the many quarantined, and so forth (since things are done a little differently there) but pretty similar to here.

We learn to appreciate the simple things in life sometimes when you have too much of everything you take things for granted but this year bought us back to reality. This past year I was diagnosed with advanced Lyme disease and I lost my job, some friends, ability to remember things - my whole world was upside down and all I could do was sleep. But as you’ve said, there are many things to still be grateful for. I loved the friendships you mentioned, your in-laws and family being close and Doug’s faith - these are worth everything! This was so inspiring. I lost my Mom in September, she was 90 and my best friend. Without my faith, I don't know what I'd do. I am so happy that Doug is now a man of faith, my husband recently found his faith too. Having the Lord in a marriage is like a cord with three strands, a braid (God's knot). It has helped us and we'll be married 40 years in 2021. That is such a blessing your entire family lives on the same block! Merry Christmas!

My husband cheated on me this year and we divorced in October after 34 years of marriage. My 94 year old mother passed away to Covid this past Sunday. Heartbreaking year to say the least. Melissa i love how down to earth you are & that you share some of the hard things in life with us.its been a rough year staying away from alot of family.when we retired we were looking forward to traveling some. well let me tell you it didnt work out for us. we had about a yr & a half took 1 long trip that was for a couple of months & my husband health went down her lost his toes in a wheelchair for almost a yr but he has never been the same that was 6 yrs ago.now he can hardly walk so he doesnt go hardly anywhere & since covid we have pretty much been home!! so we are together 24-7 & sometimes thats hard. we will be married 52 yrs in april long time but if i didnt have my faith i couldnt have made it thru these hard times in the last 7 yrs. having faith says alot!! thank you for sharing have a great new years eve sweet friend blessing love & hugs to you!!

To see what's happening around the world, especially to the most impoverished and disadvantaged people is so horrendous. I do often think of the ripple effects on mental health, relationships, small businesses, those that were already struggling or barely getting by. I really appreciate you sharing about your financial situation. It’s been a really stressful year for us too. And you went there...about the fighting. It helps to know that others are dealing with this too. Also, I saw a video where you mentioned needing medication for mental health and I can relate to that.. I struggled for a few years in my thirties after a divorce but thought at 69 that it was behind me, until this year. All I can say is bless the scientists who gave us the meds that help with that. Unless a person has experienced what not sleeping can do to your mind, they just don’t know. It is as you said a black hole and I’m surprised that I made it through this second time. Thank you for sharing.Takes real guts.

Always very sweet. I also liked what you mentioned at the end of your video about Doug and his faith. And the fact that he is a lawyer and he is such a logical person. I am that way too. Emotional faiths don't appeal me much and in my quest to find a logical religion that makes sense in everything, I find Jehovah's witnesses the ones that make most sense. They study the Bible in depth and they can answer with the Bible even the deepest questions related to God and life. That's why I was wondering if Doug had studied the Bible with one of them...

Love this video! Very challenging year instead, but so many blessings as well; my daughter had a baby and it’s my first grandchild and I was able to go visit them (they live in a different state). Also very recently divorced, so it’s been up and down for me making the best of the situation and believing God for a bright future. And I’ve recently got a couple of lipsticks from BHCosmetics, it’s the Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipstick.... wow I’m in love with them, so hydrating and long lasting, specially when I use Tretinoin and my lips get so dry out..... under $10 ! I've been sick for days and took the covid19 test so I'm waiting for the results. I bought that Kate 08 💄 lipstick because of you and we've had to cut expenses like everyone else. Now would be the perfect time to clean out everything in the house I'm not needing but I'm so tired it's an effort to breathe so I spend a lot of time in bed. I went to visit in the south one summer and they ate me alive!! I had 20 bites on each arm & leg, then my neck and other places that turned into golf ball sized welts. Oliver is precious. I have my two doggies with me while I work also, and like you, there’s nothing like having them next to you. They bring so much joy to our lives and love us unconditionally. Oliver looks like a poodle. How old is he? We have a 13 yr old Morkie and a 1 yr old standard poodle, Maggie. Our poodle is the most lovable, sweetest dog we’ve ever owned. Very nice Melissa. You may remember I lived in the UK for 2 years recently. We watch British shows and switch subscriptions. Masterpiece on Prime is another good one. We watched all 7 seasons of Endeavor and loved it.

So enjoyed hearing about your favorites and how they have helped you. Wonderful that Doug is a man of faith. I understand when someone is very logic oriented. So lucky you had the grandkids all the time. That is such a gift. This year I tried not to dwell or focus on what I/we don't get to do anymore. This was such an uplifting video! My darling mom passed away this year and it was tough at the end. I thought that after she passed, II would be free to travel but, of course, that didn't happen. Although everyone's lives got turned upside down, I think it's ridiculous to blame the year for circumstances. Life ebbs and flows and there are things to learn from every year. Melissa, you are beautiful inside and out! Love you to bits.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us. My Dad (69 yrs old) died unexpectedly in July 2019. What I would give for just another minute with him. You can be responsible and still take care of your loved ones and be around them. There is nothing more healing, in my opinion, than loving on your family. I refuse to allow my loved ones to be lonely around the holidays unless that is their choice. The government will not tell me who I can and cannot be around.

Thank you for your videos throughout the year ... they always put a smile on my face. It's been a hard year for me too. Both my parents passed away within months of each other at the start of the year. I lost my job and Melbourne Australia was in a hard lockdown for months which gave me too much time to think. I'm trying to focus on the things I'm grateful for now but its hard to stay positive sometimes.Thanks again for your vids and hope you have a lovely Xmas xxx

You are so fortunate that your grandchildren can live on the same street with you. And more than they realize they are the fortunate ones living within easy reach of each other and of you and your husband.
My grandchildren are experiencing this in another country and I tell my husband often when they are older they will have so many stories to tell and so many things to tell their children and grandchildren about living through this pandemic as children & all of the the numerous times schools closed then reopened all the many quarantined, and so forth (since things are done a little differently there) but pretty similar to here.
I’m very grateful to my two cats. They’ve been my constant companions throughout this year. ❤️😻😻💗

We learn to appreciate the simple things in life sometimes when you have too much of everything you take things for granted but this year bought us back to reality. This past year I was diagnosed with advanced Lyme disease and I lost my job, some friends, ability to remember things - my whole world was upside down and all I could do was sleep. But as you’ve said, there are many things to still be grateful for. I loved the friendships you mentioned, your in-laws and family being close and Doug’s faith - these are worth everything! This was so inspiring. I lost my Mom in September, she was 90 and my best friend. Without my faith, I don't know what I'd do. I am so happy that Doug is now a man of faith, my husband recently found his faith too. Having the Lord in a marriage is like a cord with three strands, a braid (God's knot). It has helped us and we'll be married 40 years in 2021. That is such a blessing your entire family lives on the same block! Merry Christmas!

My husband cheated on me this year and we divorced in October after 34 years of marriage. My 94 year old mother passed away to Covid this past Sunday. Heartbreaking year to say the least. Melissa i love how down to earth you are & that you share some of the hard things in life with us.its been a rough year staying away from alot of family.when we retired we were looking forward to traveling some. well let me tell you it didnt work out for us. we had about a yr & a half took 1 long trip that was for a couple of months & my husband health went down her lost his toes in a wheelchair for almost a yr but he has never been the same that was 6 yrs ago.now he can hardly walk so he doesnt go hardly anywhere & since covid we have pretty much been home!! so we are together 24-7 & sometimes thats hard. we will be married 52 yrs in april long time but if i didnt have my faith i couldnt have made it thru these hard times in the last 7 yrs. having faith says alot!! thank you for sharing have a great new years eve sweet friend blessing love & hugs to you!!

To see what's happening around the world, especially to the most impoverished and disadvantaged people is so horrendous. I do often think of the ripple effects on mental health, relationships, small businesses, those that were already struggling or barely getting by. I really appreciate you sharing about your financial situation. It’s been a really stressful year for us too. And you went there...about the fighting. It helps to know that others are dealing with this too. Also, I saw a video where you mentioned needing medication for mental health and I can relate to that.. I struggled for a few years in my thirties after a divorce but thought at 69 that it was behind me, until this year. All I can say is bless the scientists who gave us the meds that help with that. Unless a person has experienced what not sleeping can do to your mind, they just don’t know. It is as you said a black hole and I’m surprised that I made it through this second time. Thank you for sharing.Takes real guts.

Hi Melissa, I have been watching your videos, and you have such a natural beauty with basic but good products... I hope I can age as well as you...I love how you express yourself in an honest way. Always very sweet. I also liked what you mentioned at the end of your video about Doug and his faith. And the fact that he is a lawyer and he is such a logical person. I am that way too. Emotional faiths don't appeal me much and in my quest to find a logical religion that makes sense in everything, I find Jehovah's witnesses the ones that make most sense. They study the Bible in depth and they can answer with the Bible even the deepest questions related to God and life. That's why I was wondering if Doug had studied the Bible with one of them...

I had never had a dog ever until 1 yr ago. I lost my son recently & this little loving dog has brought me so much comfort, on the bad days he is always next to me & is the 1 thing I can find joy in.

Very challenging year instead, but so many blessings as well; my daughter had a baby and it’s my first grandchild and I was able to go visit them (they live in a different state).
Also very recently divorced, so it’s been up and down for me making the best of the situation and believing God for a bright future.

Melissa, you are the most honest, truthful and kind person who deserves good blessings. This has been a year of sacrifice, loss, soul searching and being grateful for what you have rather than what you don't. There have been many emotional hills and valleys and I find that watching you brings me peace and calmness. It's good to hear that you have yelled, screamed, lost faith at times because it shows that we all are more alike than different. We always think we're the only one going through something but it's not true. So thank you for sharing. Your family sounds wonderful and your very lucky, as they are too. You've got Oliver Melissa and I've got my 85lbs Kensey. I call her little one and she follows me all day. I don't know what I'd do without her. Pets are such a blessing. I've been sick for days and took the covid19 test so I'm waiting for the results. I bought that Kate 08 💄 lipstick because of you and we've had to cut expenses like everyone else. Now would be the perfect time to clean out everything in the house I'm not needing but I'm so tired it's an effort to breathe so I spend a lot of time in bed. You look absolutely gorgeous!!THAT color is all yours, it looks so good on you!! You are lucky you have those wipes that work against mosquitos!! I went to visit in the south one summer and they ate me alive!! I had 20 bites on each arm & leg, then my neck and other places that turned into golf ball sized welts. That is lucky that your kids live close and you have everyone close . You have certainly had some really nice GOOD things this year!!

Oliver is precious. I have my two doggies with me while I work also, and like you, there’s nothing like having them next to you. They bring so much joy to our lives and love us unconditionally. Oliver looks like a poodle. How old is he? We have a 13 yr old Morkie and a 1 yr old standard poodle, Maggie. Our poodle is the most lovable, sweetest dog we’ve ever owned. Very nice Melissa. You may remember I lived in the UK for 2 years recently. We watch British shows and switch subscriptions. Masterpiece on Prime is another good one. We watched all 7 seasons of Endeavor and loved it.

So enjoyed hearing about your favorites and how they have helped you. Wonderful that Doug is a man of faith. I understand when someone is very logic oriented. So lucky you had the grandkids all the time. That is such a gift. This year I tried not to dwell or focus on what I/we don't get to do anymore. Instead I focused on the things that I enjoy and are safe. Plus worked on house projects and was productive (we took down the old fence and put a new one in). This was such an uplifting video! My darling mom passed away this year and it was tough at the end. I thought that after she passed, II would be free to travel but, of course, that didn't happen. Although everyone's lives got turned upside down, I think it's ridiculous to blame the year for circumstances. Life ebbs and flows and there are things to learn from every year. Melissa, you are beautiful inside and out! Love you to bits.
