It was her personal favourite of all her movies
This movie had me bawling at the end they don't make movies like this anymore. And can we appreciate how gorgeous Bette Davis was in this movie such a fine lady
I'm watching this movie right now on tv. I'm crying again. Every time I have seen this movie. I cry and cry. This is a wonderful magnificent movie. Great wonderful cast
That was a very good film as well
I love Bette Davis...I watch her movies over and over
me too...I have seen about 60 of her films, some of them such as Dark Victory, more than once
I in think that brain cancer is the worst of cancers. It is just devastating. So many actresses and singers throughout the years have died from brain cancer
No cancer is entirely fun, Tess.
This was a fantastic movie by a wonderful actress. Thank you.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETTE! You are truly missed! Love this movie! I love all your movies! You were good!!!!!!
Just found a copy if this on Blu-ray 📀 :)
THIS is the BEST Bette Davis film ever!!!!!
for me, the best Bette Davis film
All About Eve and Dark Victory, for me
Quintessential Bette Davis role, despite miscastings of Bogart as an Irish horse trainer and Reagan as a playboy
Love this movie!
She achieved a unique beauty in it for a woman not classically beautiful.
Beg your pardon! That’s your opinion. She was a beauty to me and others!
Bette had a life long love affair with George Brent. He was a handsome man too!
Geraldine Fitzgerald is great in this movie too.
Is about her getting a disability? ☺sure I saw this and cried a lot then got a onion and pretended it was that 😣
What a sad movie :,( God speed her on her way....
Take away the Irish Brogue and you can see the man who would become Casablanca's Rick. If you want to see Ronald Reagan's finest performance, check out "King's Row"
Judith is getting headaches and blurred vision, etc. A doctor operates on her and then finds out she'll die anyway. Ann said "you shouldn't have touched her". Is she right?
I happen to be a medical skeptic because there is too much evidence that the "cure" is often worse than the disease. Even the doctor said he was leaving brain surgery because as he asked "do you know the mortality rate of brain surgery patients"?
I personally would never get brain surgery or most other extreme medical procedures because I know the risks. In Judith's case I would have prescribed her to stop smoking and drinking, have a holistic diet, and take herbs and vitamins instead of surgery. Maybe she would die anyway, but maybe she would get better without being harmed by surgery.
The hippocratic oath says "first do no harm". Unfortunately most doctors do more harm than good...except to their finances.
Almost all medical professionals have seen “futile care” being performed on people. That’s when doctors bring the cutting edge of technology to bear on a grievously ill person near the end of life. The patient will get cut open, perforated with tubes, hooked up to machines, and assaulted with drugs. All of this occurs in the Intensive Care Unit at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars a day. What it buys is misery you would not inflict on a terrorist.
It’s easy to find fault with both doctors and patients in such stories, but in many ways all the parties are simply victims of a larger system that encourages excessive treatment. In some unfortunate cases, doctors use the fee-for-service model to do everything they can, no matter how pointless, to make money. More commonly, though, doctors are fearful of litigation and do whatever they’re asked, with little feedback, to avoid getting in trouble.
Yes, some of these procedures I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Hello .The movie was from 1939 when doctors were smoking and drinking and even appearing in commercials for cigarettes!
@@frenchustube who cares? It still is worth discussing the issue today.
@@suave-rider Well you are the one that commented first so may be you should have not said anything :)
Is this the film where she goes to the childs sports day and goes home and dies in bed? or is that another film.
That's another movie
@@theresaholguin699 oh I see. Wonder what that was called?
@@kazbaz8645 check Bette's bio on Google. And her movies read each movie listed and you will find out which movie it was. I myself don't know which movie it was.
😎
Ronald Reagan supported Davis in this 📽️!
Ronald Reagan? Wtf
I mean he was an actor before entering politics
I thought that everyone knew that he was an Actor before entering Politics!
