Happy Halloween! Today, we talk about one of the scariest and evil Power Rangers teams out there, and they are the Dark Rangers, an exclusive team seen in the BOOM Studios comics! The Dark Rangers are actually the second Dark Ranger team of BOOM Universe, created by Lord Zedd long after the first team (seen in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 2 "Green No More) and the second team (seen in Marvel Comics Ninja Rangers series) failed to destroy the Power Rangers. This team was made out of five Evil Space Aliens: Rita Repulsa, Baboo, Squatt, Goldar, and Finster! Bought together by Lord Zedd, they used their Terrorzords to try to destroy the Power Rangers!

Probably would have been a plot for a sequel... Thats how they do their superhero movies. If it dont work or come out then bring it in a show cartoon or comic book

The comics version of The Dark Rangers is way cooler than the ones in the MMPR tv show. I agree also they are creepy. Their Megazord looks like a demon. Their zords are kinda of like corrupted versions of the Galactabeasts from Lost Galaxy. Putty Rita was especially creepy, she got impaled by Zedd's staff and even took a sword through her hand. Imagine if Zedd turned into the Dark Green Ranger. He would be a force to be reckoned with. The original Dark Rangers look like their wearing socks or sacks on their heads. Having criminals become the Dark Rangers was clever though.
I seriously want the new Dark Rangers to come back. They barely got any time to stretch their legs before Green Ranger II destroyed that friggin crystal, honestly. Now with Zedd supercharged, hopefully he will end up becoming the Dark Green Ranger and lead the team back into battle but who knows what Boom! has planned now.
The Dark Rangers from the 90s comic had an interesting story. Zedd using the previous Thunderzords and the Dino powers of the previous Dino coins to fight the Ninja Rangers was an interesting concept.
I do admit I wish the Boom Studios version of the Dark Rangers had gone somewhere though. They looked like some Symbiote Rangers with their almost organic looking armor. And their Terror Zords were great as well.

Comics rangers are one of the most badass things in media. Its too bad series rangers is soooo watered down, hopefully we will get more ''mature'' rangers in the future, there is so much material for that and it WILL be an enormous hit i guarantee it.

Goldar is my personal favorite out of the five. He looks a lot like the Goldar in the 2017 Power Rangers movie when he's in morphed form. Seeing Finster in Pink gives him kinda of a grotesque appearance.

Those morphers look like the ones from the 2017 movie, or at least the toys of them since they didn't actually use them in the movie

Plus throw in Psycho Green from the comics and they would have an even greater edge. He has killed 8 Rangers over the years. Five being the Supersonic Rangers. The other three being members of the 1960s MMPR team.

Scorpina would have made more sense as the Pink Ranger imo. Finister should have been Blue Ranger as he has that nerdy vibe to him like Billy.

Even the worse people in the world would choose not to help a bunch of evil aliens succeed at enslaving the entire human race. So I think thats why the Power Rangers writers would never go that path. Heck the teenagers didn't make much sense for that same reason but I guess they had to try something.

I always thought it was because white sometimes gets interchanged with pink on the team, and finster is predominately white. But who knows, i’m sure some people shipped finster 5 with drakkon
